Hadsch Hallas are what I would consider one of the only "generalist" factions in Gaia Project. Getting a PI out in the mid-game is usually best for them (about round 3 has been my sweet spot), as doing so too early can take away their only ability: their better economy over other factions. I have seen many players feel like they need to get their PI out immediately in round 1 to take advantage of the "turn money to other things" ability. This, almost always, leads to them suffering due to not actually having enough money to use in this way. Thus, early game, getting up the Economy science track helps you to bolster your strong economy: getting at least 1 Research Lab with an income tile, and then using the four knowledge you have to go up yet another step, and that should give you some immediate power cycle to use, as well as making sure your income is truly dominant for the remainder of the game before shifting to the PI in late round 2 or early round 3 (if there is scoring for larger buildings on R3, it can be better to wait)

Such a great comment! You're absolutely right! Definitely not a faction where you'd want to fall for the mistake of getting the Planetary Institute out too early! I think a lot of beginner players that are getting to grips with the game can be unsure about the importance of the Economy and Science Trees but you made a great comment that it absolutely bolsters the economy. Plus has a fantastic added benefit of giving you a head start on the rush for Top space in the last round. This guide was designed to help new players get a sense of "how to pick a faction" as opposed to just picking one because they want to play it. But I'm very glad you commented on those extra points as they really do give great insight as to specifics about why and how you'd use the P.I properly! Thanks for such a great comment!
