So I'm guessing the type 7 is the best balance between profit and risk management I hear lots of videos where the players are complaining about the tight fit and lack of parking options for a type 9 so the trade off for bigger ship is less parking options
@TroaBarton9 жыл бұрын
I really don't see it as a bad thing to have to park at stations. They usually have better prices on average and a much higher supply, better outfitting, shipyards ect.

So not a bad trade off so much perhaps

+antwan1357 I certainly make more in my conda than I do my Python ;)
@antwan13579 жыл бұрын
You should make video , with sir mix a lot saying my Anaconda don't want none unless you've got buns hun , then show a huge cargo ship

+antwan1357 I would if it wasn't for copyright nonsense.

You seem to have lost focus on this video. How much faction did you gain as a result of trading the rares?
@j3tb0y10 жыл бұрын
in your opinion what are the best routes for trading rares?
@TroaBarton10 жыл бұрын
That depends a lot on which ship you are using and how long you can devote to trading them. For sideys, haulers, adders and cobras id hit up the lave circuit. Then go back around altair. A to B circuits. Just beware this is a great spot for budding traders and pirates alike. For type 6 and Asp's either a secular route where you are always buys and selling or regular commodity trading. I had a 32 point route in a circle around populated space for this. The Asp can also do the A to B trade route if you have it specced out for combat and exploration whilst doing rare runs. Routes are kind of hard to just dictate because they change depending on the ship, that ships loadout, and whats best for the player doing the route. Check out this website it gives you all the information you need to make an informed decision. eliteraretrader.co.uk/ Sorry that i cannot give a direct answer, its why i haven't done a video about it.

It's not just the shields that are the problem with the clipper, for a ship with access to 2 large hardpoints and 2 mediums and it's manoeuvrability, fixing it's hardpoint placement to make fixed weapons viable is a must. I also wish the Asp had better weapon access. 2 large and 4 small or maybe 4 mediums, but 2 med and 4 small don't make it that great. I know it's a multipurpose ship, not a combat vessel, but for a 6.6mil buy in the weapon access needs to be a bit more of a leap from the cobra.

ummm. What about rep? You should shown the amount it improved at end, it was the title and beginning set up in first place, not profit.
@TroaBarton9 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the footage I had of it wasn't recorded, my fault and that's on me.. I can tell you however that I went from just becoming friendly to allied after selling them off.

Cool, was looking to grind rep and also get Elite up in trader, so this will help with both. Thanks for help, in this and many of your videos I been watching over the last few days.
@TroaBarton9 жыл бұрын
+DarkChrisHour well if you're looking to up your trade rank its best to just run routes in a type 9. So long as you're route is no more than two jumps it's faster than the conda. Shieldless in open if you're brave. ;) also just trading will up your rep over time if you're only trying to up your rep and your rep alone this is a great way to do it but if you're trying to multitask bulk trading is the way to go.

+Troa Barton Thanks, this and many your other videos helped me understand and progress quickly and effectively in Elite. (Sorry delayed reply it is rare I get a chance to get on KZbin)

I added 2x3 business class very rarely I have 2x3 filled in 1 system, and for trading I have 224 tonnes cargo space, yes it's not a battle ship(turn very slowly) and I am planning to sell my guns to make more space, my next ship will be imperial flipper which cost around 22 million, and have around 400 tonnes of cargo available, need couple of millions, then I have to find out where I can buy a flipper in my system area
@ZeroG9 жыл бұрын
Yes, but you never showed how much rep this gained you.
@BreezingThrou9 жыл бұрын
I know right... title and main topic at start. Almost like he forgot all about it. I was hoping to see the rep boost at end... not profit.

+DarkChrisHour its in the description
@BreezingThrou9 жыл бұрын
+BradyT918 Yeah now it is, Troa Barton explained what happened, and how the rep build is better in a reply to me last month. It did help me a lot too, was able to get rep up enough to get the Imp ships. =)
@DottsDash9 жыл бұрын
Wait... you didn't profit 3.5 mil though... you had to buy the resources first and then sell them so your profit will be drastically less.
@TroaBarton9 жыл бұрын
ShadowGhost2 Nope I calculated it off of the profit not the total sale.
@dogtagx28 жыл бұрын
WTF???? I watched and waited to see how much REPUTATION you gained like you stated in the title of the video, and what you talked about in the beginning of the video. You didn't show anything about gaining rep!!!! That is justWRONG TROA !!!I saw the comments after I posted......seems like you can rep up faster doing local trade, bounty hunting in local area exploited systems, and selling exploration data to control systems. but this was a method as well.
