I really love the way this track fuses together cultures from different countries, and ties them in with an aggressive club beat and powerhouse diva vocals! WTF? DO YOU DONT NOW THIS? Ukraine - The Ukraine’s representatitve, Gaitana, has sadly been subjected to racist comments by far-right in her country. According to the Global Spin blog which can be found here, Yuriy Syrotyuk, a high-ranking member of the right-wing ultranationalist Svoboda (Freedom) Party made the comments to the Kyiv Post. He said Gaitana, who has a Congolese father, “ is not an organic representative of the Ukrainian culture.”

Such an amazing song! So catchy and the music to it is amazing. The one thing I do hope they do is get rid of the "Na na na na na na..." part and put the trumpets back in like they did on the night of the national final. It sounds much better with the trumpets. This could have made top 5 with the song alone, but with the live performance it was impossible. I don't know who designed Gaitana's performance and lack of backing singers, but whoever it was, even if it was Gaitana, failed right there. The video version of this song is simply great, the performance wasn't - that's the reason for her rather mediocre result. Still, I'm sure she'll have lots of success, with football and all that.

Hi All, Im from the UK and Ukraine's country profile didn't affect me to vote for Gaitana on Eurovision night, I voted for the song and performance. I wanted her to win the competition. Eurovision has lost the plot for many years ago (we all know voting system...)Nobody really care about music or art anymore. They all stuck up with their patriotic dreams. "BE my Guest" is a positive, warm and very good feeling song..That's what we need in Europe these day...

At least this was in the finals. I am happy! I wish it ranked higher though but seriously there's lots of great songs this year. 3 of the Big Five plus Estonia & Albania. They were really good ballads. So Top 10 were all good (other than Turkey and Russia's cheery songs). Gaitana's competition were the other singers who had upbeat songs like France, Greece and Cyprus. So her's was tough to win.

This song might be a result of an attemp to copy "when love takes over" or some other song. But as I experience it, every mainsteam pop song you hear on the radio today is usually a copy of diffrent songs and ways to sing, when I listen close enough. In Eurovision I would say its just the same, if not worse. This is a catchy and positive song, and in the end I think thats the most imortant quality needed to win this competition. I see this song amongst the top 5.

How tiring. You're actually arguing back? A black person can't represent a white country 'cause it doesn't have many black people in it. That's your reasoning. That person probably eats Ukranian food, dresses according to the Ukranian trends, lives like a Ukranian but she's black so she can't represent the country she lives in. This is unbelievably wrong. It is an almost excact copy of Gueta and Kelly Rowland's 'When Love Take Over'. But, having said that, it is not awful, just the inferior sibling of a briliantI song. Does anyone know whether or not the title, 'Be My Guest' is a cheeky play-on-words? 'Gueta ' is a bit like 'Guest'?, but I'm probably grasping at straws here , but maybe he did actually produce this song for the ESC . If he did, well shame on him for lack of originality

I think Ukraine and Sweden will compete for number 1 spot, if it does not become another "balkanovision" of course. Predicting this over everyone's (at least on youtube) euphoria over loreen. Talking about the song itself, I can memorize and sing along even when I do not hear it, it has a very catchy back vocal, easy to remember lyrics for non english people like me. So, why not a hit:-)

I know this too well, I've been following the Eurovision for over ten years, I personally feel that although not an exact rip-off of the song, the beat and overall positioning (time) of the lyrics seems to resemble it. At no point did I say that one song is copying the other. Also, I'm not a multi-user, and I can only talk for myself, but personally, I've only recently come to know of Gaitana, and I'm a fan of her voice. I'll even go as far as to say Ukraine always sends great songs.

I usually like more "sophisticated" music, and on top of that I do think Sweden will win, but I cannot help but love this, no matter what I do. Some people call it pointless. Well, let it be pointless. It's happiness in song form, and the only country that can do the same this year is Russia. This is not an ESC winner song, but considering it'll get coverage with Euro 2012 and all of that, the future is looking bright.

I hate people comparing Gaitana to American Artists and Music. Gaitana is Unique and her song is of similar genres, but it's NOT the same song. I could compare half the entries of the ESC to songs that sound the same so I don't buy that garbage. Her song is actually ranked really high on our poll (4th). This could be a real black horse in the competition for top 5 spots. Good, energetic song, excellent singer, and having seen the performance, it's pretty good. Not perfect, but good enough. Because when she was chosen to goto Eurovision there was a large uproar about her being shosen 1. because she was not born there and 2. because they consider her to be black and a whole bunch of rude nasty words, even in the press. so that is how Ukraine became know as racist.

This song has 2 aims: The first one is, of course, participating in Eurovision and trying to win the contest. But the REAL one is the UEFA Euro 2012, which will take place in Ukraine and Poland. Really like David Guettu "When Love Takes Over". But here the arrangers (composers) have worked better: the composition sounds wider, an interesting mix of electronic music, and something like an African folk songs and Gaitana has great voice.

Yes, i prefer Dance by Max Barskih because it´s best song and he has personality. To compare Disco with this Be my Guest there is a lot of diference. Not points from Spain this year to Ukraine too. Hugs to you and Sweden, country that i know.
