My son is a trucker and he listens to this song a lot. He tries very hard to sing David’s part. I told him there is no way. He would come home and had a hard time talking. I ask if he was trying to sing along with David and sure enough he was. To the GVB, great job. God given talent to all the singers.

I never cease to be blown away by Gordon Mote’s incredible ability on the piano/keyboard/organ - and the operation of the stops! For an unsighted person to have such AMAZING command of these instruments is nothing less than miraculous. I am a very mechanical pianist and Gordon’s innate ability absolutely fascinates me! This is my favorite bunch of singers with GVB. Now Mark, Michael and David have gone to do their own thing. I sure miss them, they had such awesome harmony and that isn’t easy to find. I have done some singing also and I know how difficult it is. I don’t know how Bill keeps going he was 82 in March. It has to be his clean living and his love for music.

As long as there is a Gaither Vocal Band, Bill Gaither must always try his best to keep tenor, David Phelps. The best in the business in my opinion! I don't know how the "new" vocal band will do; however, I am glad that David decided to stay around!

Bill has been lucky, to start all of this when he did,, before they all died, a "lucky"stroke of genius, and then to find David. I met him years ago, very gracious and down to earth. I suggested a label on his CD's "Do not listen to while driving" ... my reasoning. those high notes cause an automatic "lifting" of the arms, dangerous while driving. He laughed....

The "new" group is in an unenviable spot. The last GVB added a new dimension to gospel and quartet singing .. no more four and a piano, now five, bull band. Are you anywhere near Wetumpka, Alabama?
