a customer walked into my office while I had this playing full blast and said "who is that singing, and is that Jesus music?" I giggled and said "yes it is" and they are the Gather Family. I turned my screen around and we both listened, as they got half way into it, where Guy takes the Solo and David takes over and He began to cry. I will never stop being amazied at what an impact their song have on people. Sets the stage to lead them to the Lord!

When David opens his mouth I see heaven, I see Jesus sitting on the right side of God the Father. I see multitudes of angels singing and praising the Lord with him. My spirit wells up inside of me so much that it feels like my heart is going to split right out of my chest. I'm 71 years old and to feel spirituality whole again is amazing. My husband was a wonderful tenor. His music kept me alive and I felt toward him as I feel toward David. When my husband passed, I died inside. But when I first heard David, I felt closer to Jesus as I once did. Music is so important in your life. My family was all musicians and teachers of music. I love music and will until I die. Mr. David Phelps is the best musician of our day! Thank you David.

I'm surprised they didn't do more promotion outside the US in their heyday I grew up with Sandy Patti, DC Talk, Carmen & Hillsong but never hear of the GVB til I found Mark Lowry in the early 2010's. I used to listen to pop, and rap but one day I was driving home from work with the radio blasting and a voice in my head said...Stop listening to this music. I turned the station to Christian music and never looked back. That voice was not from me because I was busy singing. If you, as an atheist, listened to this music for 90 minutes and loved it, I can tell you, God was speaking to you. Not all thoughts are our own. We have thoughts from demons and from God. Demons tell you things like...you're not good enough, you can't do something...all of the negative thoughts that pop into your mind. And just an fyi, you don't need religion. You just need to know Jesus.

This is perhaps the most stirring vocal production I have ever experienced. I have watched it dozens of times and it still gives me goose bumps. The entire group is just spectacular. David Phelps really unleashes the power of his voice in this one. His vocal control and precision is simply unmatched anywhere. The note he belts at 5:08. is mesmerizing. It's difficult to launch into an upper register power note like that from a standstill, and he executed it perfectly. What a gifted group of musicians and a great gift to all of us.

I told my daughter that before i die, I would so much love to see the Gaither program in person. I grew up listening to the Gaither trio. My father turned on the electricity, the first time WCTV Tallahassee was ever on the air. We had the Cathedrals, The Florida Boys, The Crab Family, and a host of other musicians. My father was also in a non known group, called The Joyful Singers. They did local stuff, but never made it to any big time act. I did however manage to meet folks like Jimmy D. Young, Billy Graham and Oral Roberts. There was one occasion, while I was away at a Christian Summer Camp called "The Wilds", I missed the opportunity to meet Bill and Gloria, when they came through Florida. I just would love to fulfill my own dream of seeing The Gaither Vocal Band, in person. Of course this would only play second fiddle, to the birth of my daughter and grandchildren. The power of God, the presence of the Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus Christ, will guide me through any trials that life has to throw at me.

This song is thrilling from start to finish. I call it the Halleluia Anthem of Freedom. When one can share in religious liberty, we have to be thankful. Many persons in some countries cannot freely worship. So, this song resonates with me as we do experience religious freedom in our country. Each time I watch/listen, I want to sing out like the Gaithers,"Let freedom ring!" It thrills my every nerve. I stay in "Standing Ovation" mode for a while after. I am what Christians call a back slider i turned my back on the Good LORD long ago tho i know my LORD has never turned on me he is always with me. I was born and raised in a Christian home my Beloved MOM & DAD whom worshiped GOD to there last breath did an awesome job by guiding me to that path in JESUS CHRIST. When i hear songs of praise & freedom it reminds me of what i no longer have but know i need to get back too. Getting back to the ways of the LORD have been hard for me LORD knows im trying but i can't break those chains that have me bound. When i hear songs of praise and freedom my spirit moves. This blessed Gruop the Gaither Vocal Band WOW incredible. I dont know his name so I'll say this the brother with the high pitch voice. INCREDIBLE.. To GOD be all the Glory. I pray My Merciful GOD shows me how to get back to his holy & righteous ways and that he allows me to fulfill my purpose b4 i leave this earth. GOD IS SO GOOD. May the good & mighty God guide your path & light's your way. GB....

As long as you turn back to Him, He is always there waiting Manny. I backslid for 7 years and then was so soul sick, I broke down and came back. Remember the story of the prodigal son, he backslid and his father came running to meet him on the road to welcome him back. That is your heavenly father. You confess your sins to Christ, He as the high priest takes it all away and you are renewed and refreshed. Rise up and go forward!!!

@ Manny Love, I agree with what TheDynamicsolo has told you. I'm praying for you, and God answers prayer! Remember how the Father welcomed back the prodigal. He RAN to him when he saw him coming home (as I see you've already been told). I'm sure God is answering those prayers of your parents, too, as He has led you to hear this group. BTW, the brother with the high-pitched voice is David Phelps. God has called me to pray for him, too. He's my favorite singer.

I just can't find the courage to surrender i know my life would change in miraculous ways i think thats what i fear is change. I dont believe in giving the Lord 50% its either a 110% or nothing. Dont know if im making sense but thats where i am. Its mind blowing what i feel when it comes to the ways of God yet i can't surrender. Its crazy. But thanks.

This is an angel sent down from Heaven for us to enjoy. That voice is positively HEAVENLY. He gives me the goosies and makes the hair on my neck stand up all at the same time!!! Just listen to Michael Phelps hit that glorious high tenor melodies he has been blessed by God to use for His glory......Guy Penrod is the tall grey haired Texan that hits some great notes as well........But nothing can even come close to Phelps!.....I listen to his music on the computer every night before I retire.....thanking the Lord for all His wonderful gifts....have to admit that tears come to my eyes when Phelps take over.....truly a great gift from the Lord......

Dahlia I couldn't agree more with your reply~ I, too, have tears running when listening to this spirit of the Lord flowing thru His chosen person David. I have read where he is the top ranked tenor in the world now. I watched his Italian opera presentation on KZbin and was just amazed. The Lord certainly has blessed him immensely with this unbelievable voice, and like you, am so glad he chose to use for the Glory & Grace of God~

God gave each one of them the most amazing and anointing voices that I've ever been blessed to hear. Beautifully put Mr. Cook! I couldn't agree with you more. I've followed Sandi's career since, well, The Beginning! And was blessed to meet her twice after concerts, and tell her face to face, how my life was not just saved through Jesus Christ, but through her anointed voice and music. When I was at my lowest, her voice, and the message of the love, hope, and peace that God provides at every moment, well....lets just say... I'm alive today because of them. And David Phelps, I don't even know if he's human! I mean, I sang through High school and College, and to sing live, and with continued power, never hitting an off note.... well..... I will have to wait for heaven also to join that choir! Praise God, and the gift of 🎶!

I absolutely love this song. Can't listen to it without getting emotional. When the camera panned around the crowd, there were some people that seemed bored and unimpressed with the music and singing. This is a powerful song. Also, the woman sitting directly behind them wearing a maroon blouse and brown skirt seemed very reserved. I know that you want to be respectful of the singers but at least raise your hand and say AMEN or nod your head. I went to a revival years ago and there men so filled with the spirit that they were jumping the pews and running the aisles. It scared me half to death. I love quartets singing. David Phelps has a very powerful voice. How some of those people in that crowd could even sit still while he was singing is beyond me!
