Beautiful song. One of the best singers I’ve ever heard. I was one of the lucky mothers whose son got to come home. Two tours in Afghanistan and Bosnia. Thank you so much for sharing.

Welcome home, sir! Thank you. I was in the army, (field artillery), from June 83 to Dec 91. I was very fortunate to have never tasted combat. (I missed the Gulf War due to the fact that the infantry brigade we supported did not go.)

@Gene Hays...I graduated from Odessa Permian in 1968. I had numerous classmates serve in Vietnam and a few of those didn't come home. Thank you for your service to our country, for doing what no man should have been asked to do. God bless you. My grandson is a senior in HS and when he graduates next May he is signed up and ready to go serve our country as a United States Marine.

I walked the Wall during a short visit to DC from the UK on 9/11 2003. It wasn't my war but it is my generation - it was a very emotional and humbling experience.

Each and every name on The Wall (Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall) was a person: A son, daughter, father, brother, wife, sister, husband ... and each one of these precious children, for so many of them were still so young, each one of them is More Than A Name On The Wall. God bless them and thanks so much to Jimmy Fortune for this wonderful rendition!

I've seen that Wall. When the smaller replica was traveling through our town I took my boys to see it. I wasn't prepared for how it would affect me. It was a very sobering experience; for I have a cousin from Arkansas, an 18 yr old Marine whose name is on that Wall. God bless you Benjamin Parker.
