Everyone breaks a commandment or two at least once a week. Scripture like this and many others (the entire Jewish law) are meant to help us understand how bad we need Jesus' blood when we go see God one day. People love to use em to turn their nose up at others, or seem superior. All while being extra careful to hide their sins.

@@nicholilarson8369 Nobody who deliberately sins will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If you are breaking Jesus' commandments multiple times a week, then you are in need of repentance. It is not others you need to worry about, nor is it what other people think of you that matters. What matters is that no rebel will enter Jesus' Kingdom. He will say "depart from me all you workers of iniquity" to many. I hope that will not be you. The only sins Jesus is willing to grant mercy for are sins that have been forsaken. And it is only by Jesus' personal mercy on your behalf, or anyone's for that matter, that you may enter His Kingdom.

@@RobertMOdell Jesus does forgive our iniquities, it's written down in the bible clearly. I would be very surprised if you yourself don't find yourself shaping the "truth" just a little bit from time to time. Even to think about doing that is sinful, and God cant be in it's presence. Believing Jesus is God's Son in your heart is not the same thing as going around doing what you want because it feels good. You couldn't love Him and do that... with no effect on your soul. But Paul talks about his sin in Roman's 7. We are still capable of some awful things after we accept Jesus as God. Pre-thought iniquities.. a bunch of stuff. We don't keep on sinning for mercies to abound, but satan in the world is still there. Besides loving God, the most important thing we can do is save others; and bring them to know Jesus. The Ten Commandments are absolutely crucial in morally guiding through this life, but without Jesus' forgiveness. They are just a pretty constant reminder of our shortcomings. Loving, believing in Jesus, and the growth in life that follows is what He is.

@@nicholilarson8369 God can be in the presence of sin. Where did you hear that nonsense? He is everywhere, including hell. If I were to bear false witness, then I would be in need of repentance just as anyone would be. Saul is an Antichrist and a false, self-proclaimed apostle and a false one at that. Follow Jesus and the testimonies of the scriptures and His 12 apostles. Knowing who Jesus is does not save you. The devil knows more about Jesus than do you or I. You must pick up your cross and follow Him in obedience in order to even be worthy to be considered for mercy. No deliberate sinner has mercy.

@@RobertMOdell I guess the right word would be abide. Sin is not God, hell is best understood as the total absence of God... Little fib=sin. I think it's pretty clear I wasn't talking about just "knowing who Jesus is". Everyone will be in need of some kind of repentance as long as we live. Jesus' sacrifice was once for all... I'm a little partial to Paul seeing as how I'm a gentile. You seem unbearably incurious, but I have to say I'm curious where you developed your beliefs.
