I am 30 years old. Have been listening to The Gaither Vocal Band literally my entire life. If ive said it once, I've said it a thousand times. There is not now nor will there ever be a voice like Michael English. That man has a ear that hears the chords between the chords between the chords lol. I have not listened to the Gaither Vocal Group until my daughter died in 2016. Michael English inspired me to keep listening when there are dark days, anger, sadness that fills my heart. She was my granddaughter but she lived with us until she turned 18yo. She went to live with her Mom and Dad because she wanted a “Mom and Dad like her friends” It was the worst decision she could make. She returned home at 19yo. She was such a joy for me. She sang, danced and we loved spending time together. Through Gaither Vocal Group I have been able to look up at Jesus. The. Music has helped me to keep my sanity. Thank you!

There have been many who tried to sing just like Michael, but they didn't succeed and there will never be a 2nd Michael English. And what exactly it is that makes it so special I really can't put into words. We first heard from Michael when he gave his testimony on you tube during a conversation with ms joyce meijer. David’s voice is great but Michael has been around a lot longer and Michael can sing anything. Michael is the one that Adam listened to growing up and he has styled himself after him. There are a lot of great voices on that stage. Guy Penrod and Michael English has always been my favorites.
