Sorry I differ with the basic concept of the script because I FIRMLY believe and have implemented in my personal life too that, once you get married your physical, mental and emotional loyalty lies with your spouse and past / partner shouldn't ever come in between you and your spouse. Then trust and respect for each other grows into a strong bond making both the life partners SOULMATES in true sense. WHERE THERE IS RESPECT LOVE IS BOUND TO BE THERE 🌹❤️❤️🌹.

The 'kheer ' symbolises her ex while the 'halwa' stands for her husband. By discarding kheer and opting for halwa in the end, she decides to live in the present leaving behind the past......It reminds me of 'Rajanigandha' by Basu Chatterjee, which also has similar storyline and ending.

As far as I could understand ( to the people asking for meaning of story) Kheer is a symbol of love emotion here. It was the only memory left between the past lover and the woman which bonded them. And she’s unable to share that same emotion with her husband. She still loves her ex despite knowing how caring and loving her husband is. Her husband would always remain gajar ka halwa and the past lover is kheer.
