Sir..In p group, order of an element is not always p^n . It may be p^n-1 ,p^n-2..... For eg. In K4 order of o(a) = 2, o(b)=2 ,o(c)=2.

In p group not every element has order p^n , it may be 1 also e.g= G=Q8 and this group has order 2^3 but in this group the order of an element 1 is one and it is identity element of the group Q8

If O(G)=p^n where p is prime then G is called p group. Definition of gp sir is wrong.
