Really cool thumbnail! 2:00. I didn’t know Medusa retained her buff! I should read more closely. XD
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
Thanks! And I really like showing these edge case interactions. There are so many of them in the game and you never think about it because the opportunities don't happen much.
@ARMed_PIrateАй бұрын
In general, Marvel Snap cards retain any buffs they get unless something (e.g., Shadow King) removes them. Note that buffs from On Reveal effects (like Medusa's) are different from Ongoing and location-based bonuses. For instance, Warpath's Ongoing effect will deactivate (losing power) as soon as you have cards in all three lanes, because is is not a "permanent" buff, but rather completely conditional. Whereas, even if an On Reveal buff has a condition (like Medusa's), because it happens that one time, it's a permanent addition. Notably, this allows for "bounce" strategies where you use Beast or Falcon to return cards like Medusa and Rocket Raccoon to your hand and replay them to get permanent buffs multiple times in a game.

@@NerdDynamite I'm not a new player; I played the first few months on PC, took a break, and have been playing non-stop for well over a year. I have a lot of newer cards thanks to season passes and careful use/luck with spotlight keys and tokens (especially from albums). But I REALLY appreciate the content you're making for new players, specifically. There aren't many creators making it. Videos like this--highlighting a season pass card in particular (something anyone can get for $10 without having to roll for it) and synergies with Series 2 cards--are so incredibly beginner-friendly. You're doing the community a real service.

@@ARMed_PIrate Thanks so much for the nice words! The only reason I made the channel was to help any player interested. It’s super cool when I create one of these lower CL decks and I find myself playing it for fun. I was using a much more difficult Galacta deck to pilot, and will probably use this one to finish my infinite climb.

🤣🤣 This gameplay had a lot of good moments. I always feel so lucky when I’m only recording for 30 minutes and every card matters AND “for the content” stuff happens.

Just watching u play and it goes to show that skill and knowledge of opponent deck/cards can go a long way. Even with basic cards u made this look easy.
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
It honestly felt too easy 😂. This was definitely a magical run while I was recording. That said, during testing it still felt really good which is why it led to this video. Surprised me how good the deck was considering it was just Series 2.

You make such interesting decks but even more than that, you're a great player. I always enjoy watching and then building what you make but then I can't figure out how to win! All that to say, I enjoy your stuff here. And I appreciate how you make things for newer players. It's a much needed thing.

Thanks so much! But I really hope I can show a deck that YOU can be successful with!! Happy to hear you enjoy watching despite that though 👍.

Awesome thumbnail my man, and another spicy deck I love lockdowns so will definitely try, have you thought about adding Jean Grey I used to run guardians + her as its a guaranteed hit hehe
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
Thanks! Jean Grey is a personal favorite of mine and I’ve had a Guardians deck on my list for some time now. Because of the holidays, there won’t be an OTA after next week so I’ll be able to do a bunch of recording in advance. I hope to get to it then.

Just found your channel recently. Absolutely love your lower series deck videos. If I might make a suggestion though. Is talk about some potential good replacement cards for those that may have the random series 3-5. But then continue to show how you can kick butt with only S2.
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
Welcome to the party! And thanks for the suggestion! I can only make so many Series 2 videos since there will never be new cards there. Speaking about potential replacements is a fantastic idea.

Agree 100% on Magik. I only play Magik decks in conquest for the exact same reason, even in metas without many location control cards. It's just too high risk for ladder.
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
Yep! On my list of video ideas is a deck where I play Magik and then rip it away myself. I’ve seen others do it but it’s mostly a meme and I’m trying to have it be legit.

@NerdDynamite maybe try her with galacta to mitigate the tempo loss of a 3/2. Or put her in surfer with nocturne just for the mindgames of threatening to turn off limbo lol.

@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
Thanks! This deck surprised me a lot. I always expect to build competitive decks but didn’t realize how much a season pass card could elevate Series 2.
@scotschlinger3975Ай бұрын
I am unfamiliar with the card Shang Chi. Could you explain its use. Great job!
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
🤣🤣 It’s very simple. If Shang-Chi is in your deck, your win rate is 75%. Don’t even have to play him.
@ARMed_PIrateАй бұрын
In short, On Reveal: destroy all the opposing cards in his lane that have 10 or more power. Kick over their sandcastle hard. Note that Shang-Chi loses to Cosmo or Armor if you don't have priority. It loses to Alioth if you don't have priority. If you do have priority, they could play something else into the lane (like a big 6-drop, say Hulk or Magneto), and Shang-Chi will not kill it, because he will reveal first and he only kills cards that are already face-up. In Conquest, where you play multiple games against the same opponent, as long as you play Shang-Chi once, the opponent knows you have him, and the threat of playing him in future games forces your opponent to try to play around him... and then Heimdall can surprise them. Alternatively, if you don't draw Shang the first few games, he can be a big surprise on the final game.

Great vid showing only series 2 cards helps players like me Btw what is best/optimal way to spend gold in game I tend to buy credit with them wondering if anything better is there
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
I’m not sure my personal philosophy lines up with most people. I think you should save them for good value gold bundles. I take a long term view on card acquisition. Most cards, you won’t use. Since you randomly get them, there’s no need to rush through. The other option is to spend them on Token Tuesdays. It’ll be slow but then if you’re dying to get a card, you can target it. But spending gold on credits isn’t a bad thing! It kinda depends what you’re looking for. It does accelerate you through the CL track to reach endgame faster.

Looks like a fun deck! Do you think there's a place for Daredevil here (to help maximize Gamora value)?

Yep! I’d replace either Lizard or Ant-Man. Daredevil would also assist Storm and Professor X too!

@@NerdDynamite I like the idea of a lower series deck, so I think I'll just swap out Lizard for DD. I appreciate your work and keep them coming :)
@houseofcoryАй бұрын
I'm gonna give this a try. How valuable do you feel Lizard is? I might replace him with Scarlet Witch (keeping with the low series theme) to have another location deleter like Storm.
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
Lizard is very replaceable. I have a pinned comment with a slightly updated version where I put Daredevil and I think Psylocke into the deck. It’s still very simple to pilot but gives it a slight bump in effectiveness.
@ARMed_PIrateАй бұрын
It's worth pointing out that the 50/50 you lost would have been won by Heimdall left, which would have beat Armor as well (25 to 23). It would have lost to Cosmo, but the same is true of Shang left. Given that it beats Armor left and Alioth right, it probably would have been the better play, and is just another point in the deck's (and Heimdall's specifically) favor.
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
Fantastic point! Thanks for breaking it down like this and I agree that your analysis is definitely another point in the deck's favor.
@Tyron-u9cАй бұрын
when ur editors note says when playing weaker decks u should lean into RNG aspects to even the playing field that statement alone says alot its not always fun to realy on RNG most of the time to get ur 50/50 wins altho this video is irrelivent to me since im f2p since this deck revolves around galatca its nice to see what u can do with lower seriers cards with galacta
@NerdDynamiteАй бұрын
I agree with you about leaning into RNG isn’t necessarily fun. It’s just practical advice for newer players so they can be competitive while still building their collection. With the low series deck videos, I’m trying to think of ways to present fresh takes since that card pool is limited. I may relax the restriction and allow for one or two Series 3 cards so I don’t leave out FTP players.
@cheechp3209Ай бұрын
Aioloth is a problem imo. That card is so annoying. It should be A 6-4 at most.
@VGamer07Ай бұрын
I feel the same way about Shang-Chi. He should be a 6 cost. You have to have Priority to use Alioth.
