I think they're kinda equivalent, The pillar of autumn in lore is an outdated ship that's been upgraded, the enterprise is just a normal exploratory vessel, the most advanced ship there (to their own universe) is probably the Normandy, and even then the Normandy's main role is recon not fighting. Then theres the 99 honda civic with a v8 swap that the millennium falcon is lol.

From what I remember, ME ships do have FTL capability. If I remember, the Normandy does something like ~15 Lightyears per day. The reason they use the Relays, is because they can slingshot you across the galaxy far more quickly.

Mass Effect ships can travel FTL by themselves, it's just far slower then the rest of the ships there. It's typically used for interplanetary travel, rarely for interstellar travel. One of the reasons Mass Effect is probably my favorite universe among these is because they actually invent the physics to explain how. Supplying a positive of negative current into an element called element 0 generates a _mass effect_ field where the mass inside the field is made lighter or heavier depending on positive or negative. Effectively they can project a field around the ship and, while it normally weighs 1000 tons it now weighs 10 tons, but the engines still produce the same level of thrust. It can exceed the speed of light because the mass of photons entering the field also change with the ship.

In Mass Effect there is Mass Relay to suprass FTL speed, so the idea of using the Enterprise to mimetice the Warp speed is cool.

The fact that the Pillar of autumn, a halcyon class light cruiser, was able to inflict the kind of damage it did with only a light broadside barrage against that destroyer without using the full complement of its 40+ point defense guns, its 20+ archer missile launchers, 4 medium auto cannons or its light Mac cannon shows just how good unsc ships can be.

@@CASA-dy4vs well, the only reason they finally had shields for the infinity is because they made a forerunner hybrid reactor that would be able to power them up while still having plenty of power for all other systems. the usual nuclear reactor they were using beforehand wouldn't allow that to happen. just firing the MAC consumes a lot of energy.

Star Destroyer shields are meant to absorb energy based weaponary. Not physical projectiles

Of course, this depends on the source material, but it's been shown that the shields they use can tank smaller asteroids and ships crashing into them. If I remember correctly, there was a moment where a star destroyer jumps into a system and completely obliterates a ship by crashing through it.

But the Piller of Autumn is fighting the Covenant, which had (thought) almost impenetrable sheilds, its safe to assume they develied a ship to ship projectile capible of penetrating or bypassing shields all together

Probably the most odd part of the whole thing. The Reapers would have started tearing them apart, the Covenant would have attempted to destroy everyone else for heresy, with the Vengeance and the Empire would be the only ones going, WTF?

However, just the Reapers and Covenant attacking his ships would have been enough to fight back very quickly. And if the Vengeance's commander tried to act superior with him, Vader probably would have taken time to... educate him on his folly.

All I can say it's a good thing 40k aren't in this they'd annialate every other universe because as much as I love the other universes 40k would purley and simply destroy everything. The sith look like a bunch of magicians compared to phsykers and there ships are dwarfed compared to emperor class destroyers such as battlefleet gothic and the countless space marine fleets not to mention black ships.
