There is a story some where humans are easily taken over but they have trouble with wild life and plants and we make it worse by lieing to them like telling them bunnies are deadly and yes that leaf is ok to touch(poison ivy)

Other than perhaps the references to a Martian capture (which reminds me more of the radio shows & movies from the 1950s) and the Europa capture. This was all right -- even though it's strongly on the tree-hugging side. Further as a minor nitpick, if you're going to use stellar labeling with numbers (e.g., Sol-3), using words like Martian and Europa, is going to throw wrenches into the ability to suspend disbelief as it's going to cause the reader/listener to stop a moment and say, "wait a minute..." But definitely better than hearing yet another reference to Chen.
