GALACTIC SUPERHEROES 02 (Ratboy Genius Cover) ⁑ SV Basic + Garageband

A grand musical ensemble. Fingerhead has been caught. The Hoo Hoos come out to confront him and tell him that he should be thanking them. The Superheroes try to work out a deal. Fingerhead is incredulous and escapes.

Another RBG cover! I love the Galactic Superheroes series and episode 2 brings me so much joy. I’d actually made the song part of this back in September, but by the time I got home the DHMIS show was out so I didn’t get around to the video until this month. 😳
And good grief, was it a process! I had no idea how to go about recreating the backgrounds, then one day I came across someone who’d made a 2D animation on top of a 3D background they made on Blender… so I got inspired, downloaded the program last week and tried my darndest, LOL. I'd like to keep learning though, I think it'll be a good skill to have! Very grateful the original is Ratboy’s earlier work so it was a little easier to recreate.

Instrumental made on Garageband (iPhone ver.), vocals on Synth V Studio Basic! The only part of this that I didn’t make was the intro BGM - I didn’t feel I’d be able to recreate it in a satisfactory way on Garageband, so I just took the vocals out with Audacity.
Tsurumaki Maki takes on the role of Sue, Eleanor Forte is George and Fred, GENBU is the main-melodied Hoo Hoo, and SOLARIA is Old Fingerhead (all LITE versions.)
Trying to make SOLARIA talk was a funny process. It came out a little uncanny, especially with the breathing, but I think that adds to it. (Also: in the original, the second time the Superheroes harmonize, Sue’s “when” is a little sharp. And I love it that way, I’d have put it in my cover, but when I tried it didn’t sound as natural. ☹️)
Semi-related, but I'm SOOO excited for the eventual release of ASTERIAN (his LITE ver, in my case); he sounds incredible and Eleanor's voice needs a rest!

this has to be one of the most impressive cover's i've stumbled upon (YOU SERIOUSLY DID THIS JUSTICE) i'm a pretty big fan of RBG and it's so nice to see the music gaining more recognition!!! your vocal casting choices were PERFECT (I LOVE THEM ALL SM THEY ALL WORK SO WELL WITH EACH OTHER) and the instrumental is STUNNING. keep up the awesome work and i can't wait to see what comes next!

I love Old Fingerhead's facial expressions. They really emphasize how irritated he is. I love how his face changes to sheer annoyance as soon as he hears Sue's voice.

​​@@knishesdelishes what I find even more funny about how he reacted to Sue's singing was that he was just talking to the Hoo-Hoos, and he still found Sue *more* annoying then even them. He went from uncomfortable to immediately pissed off. Probably because he's still pissed by the way the Galactic Superheroes have been handling this situation.

So much to unpack here, first off the voices fit so well and the singing is so good, second the art and the editing is superb. This was always one of my favorite episodes too for a multitude of reasons, i used to think the superheroes hated Fingerhead but listening to this cover i realize their genuinely trying to be nice to him and the Hoo's (plus just doing their job). Lastly the Hoos and fingerhead, you made them and everyone else so gosh darn expressive while still keeping the charm of the original and I can tell you put alot of work into it. Also i think this is the only interpretation of GSH episode two where Fingerhead is genuinely freaked out/concerned instead of just straight up angry, i really enjoy that. The Hoo's were always such funky and funny little crittera to me so seeing them smile and such makes me smile. All in all i love this cover and your happyman opera cover and will gladly check out all your other covers.

god i LOVE this..... im biased because old fingerhead is my favorite character but i LOVE his expressiveness here so much, especially when young mouthbottom starts expressing more too near the end as fingerhead gets more stressed out lmao..... god i need more!!!! i would PAY for more!!!!
