@dave19941000 Baltar died in the theatrical version. In the pilot he was spared and became the Galactica's major foil after the Imperious Leader gave him a base star to chase down and offer his "terms" to the humans. Eventually Baltar was captured by the colonials and then released and marooned on a world after helping them to destroy a base star in the final episode.
@a.barnard32056 жыл бұрын
No, BALTAR died in the Pilot Episode, or so we thought, or, were led to believe. YET, Baltar continued on in the series. In the theatrical version, Imperious Leader has been replaced in the "big seat" by Baltar, at the very end. BTW, the theatrical version was released AFTER Galactica was *canceled*.

I do have great love and respect for the original. I WAS appalled by Galactica 1980 - and yes Doctor Z was an abomination. They could have and should have done something different. Now as to the reboot my opinion is that the whole was less than the sum of its parts (and oh, Six's parts) - it had some fabulous moments for me but overall it failed to grab me and I'll always wish they had gone with my idea ... the reason why the Colonists can't tell a Cylon Infiltrator from themselves is that THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE, THEY'RE ALL CYLONS - the real Colonists had escaped thousands of years ago and the machines in an effort to understand were recreating the events, over and over again, incidently perfecting their Infiltration units.

Galactica 1980 is an Abomination. What they should have done is an animated series based on the first season for Saturday morning cartoons. Kind of like Star Trek did after it went off the air. Gute Frage!

This one from 1980 is a re-edited version of the three-part episode "Galactica Discovers Earth" and "The Night the Cylons landed" from Galactica 1980, with the addition of several scenes with Baltar, Lucifer and Spectre from the first series episode "The Young Lords" which were overdubbed with new dialogue.
