I’m a little disappointed that one of the upgrade options wasn’t a better rock! 😂 Great series and I look forward to the next installment.

ZWO make a rock but it’s expensive and is not compatible with other rocks or cameras.

Haha, a rock that can track would be great

The next level chose the shutter and the tripod and can you take a star trail image with this.

Great job! Personally, I got burnt out with all the gear and setting while chasing perfection. Then I realized that my friends didn’t care if it was “perfect” they were blown away by some of my simple stuff. I think going back to the beginner stage is what I need to fall in love with astrophotography again. Thanks!

This is a very good video and reminder to anyone that you do not need a lot of expensive gear to take pretty nice pictures of the Milky Way. Great work Dalia! I will definitely enjoy following this series (I started as a beginner last year, failed miserable at first, and got bitten by GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome) 😂

Oh this was some much joy to watch. Very lovely done. I am a very advanced shooter with multiple rigs, but this is so entertaining and nice to watch. I am looking forward to watch the whole series. Thank you for your effort😊

Love the new series! I would say tripod for sure... or a better rock. I think a lens would demand a tripod. I think the shutter would be good on its own. I don't know enough about filters to know why exactly i would want one. So in the end, I think tripod and lens, OR shutter and filter and better rock.

If they keep coming out that good on a rock, why bother with any upgrades. Just loved it, very well done, well presented and had me captivated right to the end. Very well done ,and i look forward to the next one.

Great video! Fyi there's a very simple sequence functionality on the 7DII which works perfectly up to 30" exposures. Just in case you pick the shutter 😂

I'm hurt by your dissing the 7D MK II. I love mine still. In fact I used it and the Tamron 150-600 mm. With the internal intervelometor to photograph the eclipse.

Depending on camera functions, i would probably pick the intervalometer first then tripod. After that a tracker and probably a mini computer(i love being lazy). Personally i would also skip many steps to save a few bucks in the long run but the journey is very fun, i still remember how excited i was with each and every upgrade.

Title was a little bit misleading, I thought you literally used a rock as the image sensor lol. Great video anyway, I would definitely go with the tripod and the intervalometer.

Incredible! Did you use calibration frames at all? It’s shocking that this is a single frame
