That was my favorite part of the whole book , when Elrond scried so hard he saw the heat death of the universe and Galadriel summoned a neverending army of insects that devoured most of Middle Earth. Curious how that ended up derailing that whole thing with the ring, but it was well worth it

I was surprised at the lack of craterhoof in the deck. There was a game where you had Galadriel on a board against one blocker, and chose not to go for an X=10+ finale because there weren't any search targets that add trample. I didn't do the math but adding 29 power to the board with trample would probably win even from that bare-bones a position

I've been using Elrond, Master of Healing for my scry deck and while it's definitely less explosive, it also can be a lot of fun building up small scry creatures into 8/8s that get surprise unblockable with the Merfolk from Ixalan

Another combo using scrying is herd baloth/scurry oak + season of growth/elrond, lord of Rivendell + arwen Undomiel/elrond, master of healing. The firsts create tokens when a counter is placed on them, the second let you scry when a creature enters the battlefield (with elrond the second time the ability triggers instead the ring temps you), the last let you put a +1/+1 counter on a creature when you scry

I both love and hate this deck. Love, because of its incredible ramp potential and crazy combos. Hate, because playing against mass scry takes FOREVER, and then your opponent pulls out counterspells on YOUR turn.

I just lost to this, it took like 30 minutes and arena skipped through my turn and I auto lost cause I lost all my time extensions during their turn or something. It was not fun. Also in a previous game an opponent used Galadriel with Snow lands and Marit Lage's Slumber, seems like an easy addition to the list for this deck for another combo/value engine.

At 14:37 if you played Castle Garenbrig, I think you could have cast Galadriel that turn if you wanted to. Really tight gameplay so far otherwise, though. EDIT: Didn't matter, and it would've gotten eaten by Mightstone and Weakstone anyway, but hindsight is 20/20.

Hahaha... with The One Ring WotC successfully run the whole LotR Expansion into the ground. The card is so absolutely busted that you HAVE to include it into every deck to be competitive. And they cannot ban it because it is the main theme card for the whole expansion... well done WotC, well done.
