Galadriel & Sauron - "Decode" (+S2)

I've been thinking a lot lately about how amazing it's been to watch this show create such a perfect example of a narcissist in Halbrand/Sauron, as well as to watch Charlie Vickers do such a masterful job portraying one. And his dynamic with Galadriel demonstrates so well how anyone can fall into the trappings of one. I've had a couple of close encounters with narcissists in my personal life, as well as witnessed someone close to me become influenced by one, so I can attest to the fact of how they can get into your head and spin you into their web of deception and confusion. A narcissist has the ability to ruin your life, so I think that there can be a lot of education as well as healing to found from observing a character such as this. Even though this is a fictional show there is a lot of truth to be found in fiction just as well as anything else. The way Sauron messes with both Galadriel's and Celebrimbor's heads is really quite something. But the gaslighting tactics he used on Celebrimbor really took the cake in season 2. A narcissist will ruin your life, and then somehow find a way to try to make you believe that YOU are the reason for your own suffering. My friends, I pray you never fall victim to a narcissist. And should you ever find yourselves in the path of one, I pray you have the wisdom and the strength to get free. Blessings~ ♥
