This game is unusual because the NES version is more difficult than the arcade version. Here it is more difficult to avoid the opponents' shots while they fly into formation.

My mom is a major Galaga control freak (as much as I am) She started playing it at a local Dairy Queen in Kemah (where I received my cheeseburger meal from) I remembered playing it at Brad & Tracey's house in League City on his old Nintendo most of the time (while in the living room) THX had used the Galaga theme song in one of their logo trailers Galaga is ™ & ©1981-2018 Namco Bandai Entertainment Inc.

This reminds me of 9/11. Parents had bought this game that had all of the old Nintendo games in some store there idk, but it was right before the attacks and hearing the sound effects of this game brings back vivid memories of that time period. My mom was a beast at this btw by far her most favorite game out of all.

Your amazing! I use to watch my uncle mike make it to high 40s and even 67 once on a friday night at a gameland in early 80s. He would be on the machine with just a quarter longtime! They would have tournaments to see who would get highest score one game each player. I got pretty good also but i was a Ms Pac man and defender player. I was pretty good at a few games. I miss those times at the arcades. 😎

This is BY FAR the BEST console port of Galaga. Everything about this is ARCADE PERFECT right down to the patterns of the aliens. The NES ports of Dig Dug, Mario Bros, Elevator Action, and DK Junior also are near arcade perfect. I would say Donkey Kong too, but it's missing a board.

The North American version of Galaga had the Namco logo and copyright notice which says "©1981, 1988 Namco Ltd. Distributed by Bandai America Inc. Licensed by Nintendo of America Inc. All Rights Reserved" as soon as I turn my Nintendo Entertainment System on (with the game inserted). The Wii Virtual Console release had "Namco Bandai Games" intact.

this version isnt the arcade its the nes version so its not 100% accurate

I'd say it's 97% accurate. They did a good job trying to get it as close to the arcade version as they could..

The original arcade version only let you shoot twice. The owner may have changed the settings or it may have been a modified cabinet.

Atari 7800 version is closer to the Arcade being that it gives you the whole screen to maneuver around. Plus it plays like the Arcade version. The Nes version is ok though.
