Love the way you explain, everything very clear , one thing not clear. To me is clear that it is through baptism that we are united with Christ . Water baptism. (Min 28.30) I grew up on a Adventist church .

I have been really trying to understand the law vs faith thing and after reading several books of the bible I’m starting to connect dots and understand. In acts at the end of Chapter 4 the believers are all sharing all of their possessions, all willingly and of the same mind and heart, until someone gives only a portion of what he had and kept some in secret to himself. What I got from that (and this is helping me connect dots) is that when it was done WILLINGLY as in, not as a rule, not with force, it was good. But when someone gave only some, they must have been giving because they felt like they had to and that brought an element of force or rule to it, and that didn’t work. For me this really helps me understand how the law “reveals” sin because it shows when action is willing or unwilling. Hope that’s helpful to someone! ❤

I love so much that you're thinking through these things and trying to connect the dots. Let me give you a few more dots lol 😉 We are no longer bound by the law AT ALL. "The Law" in Bible speaking was from when Moses received it, until Jesus died and was resurrected. Were there some great principles in the law that we can still use today, absolutely. A lot of them were great and known as 'bad/evil' before the law. Think of Cain and Abel. "The Law" wasn't given yet, but murder was wrong... and it's still wrong now. I hope I'm not confusing you at all but putting more dots on the page. I love that you're remembering Acts. I think you're referring to Ananias & Sapphira at the beginning of chapter 5. What was the real issue there? Was the real issue them not sharing? 🕵🏼♀️😉 Here's the video from this channel for Acts 5 if you'd like to check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2HZf2NurrB7fbMsi=MwGQOM8UWTrs15Mx

@@hiswordmywalk no not confusing! That helps a lot and I watched this video twice and it really helped to make it more clear. And yes I meant the beginning of chapter 5 in Acts - I binge watched your Acts series too and it was awesome! So helpful!

This is such a good teaching....I get excited about the next session. I knew I was going to be blessed today as when I first began reading out loud the chapter, the enemy began filling my mind with other things😡, I had to stop and rebuke the evil one. It was fun because you brought up about him deceiving people like did with. Example "Did God really say". This book and this chapter brings out so much that has made me curious and look into more. Thank You Kaela I'm so Grateful 🙏

The Law shows us how sinful our nature is……our FAITH in Jesus Christ, our savior, is what saves us. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 It’s not about our effort … it’s about our FAITH🙌🏻🙌🏻 it’s not about Law/ works/deeds……it’s about FAITH AND His GRACE 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Examine myself… What is in my heart? Am I trying to earn His Grace by what I do? But, that is wrong thinking ……Our inheritance is granted by FAITH in Jesus Christ 🙌🏻🙌🏻

As he does in Romans , Paul , quoting Genesis 15:6 , uses Abraham as proof that there has never been any other way to salvage than by grace through faith. Even OT teaches justification by faith.

The reason Paul quoted the OT so much is because the gentiles (ethnos) being redeemed in the first century were scattered uncircumcised northern kingdom Israelites. This is why he said "we were kept under the law"...pagans were NEVER kept under the law. Were you ever part of the old covenant of law that Moses mediated?
@MandMe912 ай бұрын
You were never under the law. You were never under the works of the law. You were never under the curse of the law. Christ did not redeemed from the curse of the law. Why not??? You were never under the law or its curse.
@CalvinGoodloe-qh3ww2 ай бұрын
But see Paul is only speaking of the law of circumcision in the flesh Gal 5:I-4. This had nothing to do with God's commandments. Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law (God's commandments) though faith? God forbid, yea we established the law (God's commandments).
