My View - Significant issue was that he did exceptionally well in that first "Attakathi" movie. His characterization was also very genuine but many ended up getting irritated by that character and it's action. Example, it was not a chocolate boy character to attract female fans and neither action hero character to attract male audience. I guess it took him years to come out of that image. Only in this film I saw Gethu not Attakathi hero. Hopefully this Gethu image doesn't haunt him for few more movies.
