I absolutely love Ante Sundaraniki, but I think the film would have done well in box office, if the teaser and trailer were cut differently. Like Nani said, the teaser set the expectation that the film is going to be full of fun and comedy. And people came in to the theaters with that expectation.

The best part of watching Nani's movies? You feel like you're watching his best film to date and then the next one tops it. I thought Ashta Chamma is unbeatable until Pilla Jamindar happened. Same thing with Ante sundaraniki and then dasara happened. Before you let that sink in, we got Hi Naanna, which was his best work. I know for a fact that it's only a matter of 1 or 2 movies before the next best movie happens. Can someone crack good movie scripts like Nani does? How does he keep doing that. 🙏🏻 He's an inspiration.

Ante sundaraniki the narrative, screenplay and the edit pattern were really spot on. I had smile and a beautiful feeling all throughout when I watched it in Mumbai. But nani i disagree on the part which u said that it didn’t do good enough at box office bcoz of you. You absolutely convinced us that the star image never fell through while watching ante.

The problem was it released in the wrong time. There were couple of other Pongal blockbusters unfortunately. He couldn't secure more theatres. I went to the theatres for this and felt mixed for it. Later I watched it again on OTT felt more positive.

Another interesting possibility that could have happened regarding tamil. Surya's Saturday could have been Surya's SUNDAY in tamil. So that Surya and Sun are same as well as "Sunday அன்னைக்கு சண்டய போடணும்" would have become literally true.

Usually I agree with Nani's perspective but he was soooo wrong with Ante Sundaraniki. It was such a refreshing film with not a single dull moment and high repeat value. The drama, comedy, music everything worked! And the Tamil dub was so good that I liked it even more than the original, probably because the slang was more relatable.

A friend of mine recently pitched a story to Nani. Nani and his team actually showed some class by listening respectfully. But when my friend tried pitching to Nikhil just a week ago prior to Nani, he was insulted and mocked with Nikhil arrogantly saying not to bother him unless the budget was 100 crores and the movie was a pan India project with Hinduism elements. This is exactly why Nani outshines the rest of the Telugu actors.

Nani is literally the only Telugu actor who actually knows how to act. He's going to leave a lasting legacy on the industry. While everyone else in Telugu is trying to make movies for North India, Nani is the only one making movies for Telugu people.
