I wish the tribute was made in all Indian languages, if not then at least in English too. Not all the citizens speak Hindi and so does our armed forces which have gentlemen and ladies from all over the country. We should be proud of our diversity which makes our country unique and powerful.

If you study the history of languages, then you'll find that English is one of the derivatives of the Indo-European languages and Sanskrit is one of the mothers (the oldest in fact). But Tamil has followed a totally different path in the history and is the mother of most of the South Indian languages but you'll find them fighting to let English be the common language instead of us the North Indians that let misinformation or lack of proper education blind us.
