Absolutely love them GB2P's man. Their sound effects, Sound quality, Ambience Mode, ANC, Battery, Conversation Mode, Neck Stretch Reminders... LE AMAZING!!! I'm absolutely worrying about Samsung for the features they have removed from the Buds FE making them inconvenient for me, when they have gloss plastic that means they may have quality issues just like I had with Buds 2... but Wingtips are nice though!

I feel the default eartips of buds2 was great with good seal. But with default earbuds2 pro, the default eartips is is not good seal. I had to change it to large, but it gets slightly uncomfortable and I think I m loosing some clarity. This is without ANC. All 3 eartips shows good fit. Please suggest.

If all the sizes are good fit, I would suggest go with the medium size. Sound leaking is quite common as the seal can never always be tight and perfect. As we move our head and jaws, the ear buds move too. So there is no point stuffing or ears too tight with large size just to get good seal. Comfort first. Have you tried foam tips like comply ear tips? Yes I know they are expensive

i use my buds 2 as ear protection at work with using the ANC..... i have been using them for about a year it seems..... im thinking about upgrading to the buds 2 pro for the voice recognition and ANC...... have you noticed a better battery life on the buds 2 pro? as my buds 2 last 95% of my work night as long as i charge them on breaks. would you say this would be a good upgrade for a factory worker that uses for hearing protection as well as listening to podcast and such while working? or should i just save my money and stick with the buds 2( which have been great but also my first set of premium earbuds ( on a fold 3 phone if that matters)

When you mentioned for protection, do you mean constant noise or inconsistent loud noise like jack hammer? If you use it to block inconsistent loud noise, then maybe the buds 2 pro might not do a good job when compared to buds 2. The reason is because there is an added air vent on the buds 2 pro which helps reduce the occlusion effect and helps the ear "breathe". I just made another video about it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6bPZaSGbtR_l8k However, if you are after the ANC to cancel out constant background factory noise, then yes the buds 2 pro does a much better job when it comes to ANC. In terms of battery life, I feel they are about the same. If you are only listening to podcast and Buds 2 is already doing a good enough job for you, then perhaps I would suggest stick with Buds 2. It's worth paying for Buds 2 Pro only if you also enjoy good audio quality like watching movies, etc.

Hey MakeMoreArrows, good to hear from you again. Yes I know what you mean. The original buds and their wings are one of a unique kind. I think what they have done with the buds 2 and buds 2 pro is to design it like an egg shape so that they fall into the cradle outside of our ear canal. This removes the need for the wings. The noise cancellation is so good it takes a bit of getting used to seeing people buzzingly around you in almost total silence.

Wow, you use music speed changer too? I use my Buds2 and Buds2 Pro with this app for music listening, and I change the pitch, tempo and other attributes of the songs to never get bored of them! I upgraded from the regular buds2 because the mesh would get clogged with earwax way too easily, and the microphone stopped working so ambient mode and ANC don't work at all :(

Yap....I mainly use music speed changer for my video production, so I can time my video recording exactly inline with my voice over. Great time saver. Yes I have heard about earwax clogging the speakers but never to the extend it prevents the mic from working. I guess that is possible given how all that mic hole is.

@@SkyPerspective Yeah I suspect the microphone died from water damage. I accidentally dropped my buds in a glass of water and quickly dried them. The microphones were fully functional weeks after the incident but I can't find any other reason why the microphones died. I love my buds2 pro, in comparison, they fit a little bit looser than the regular buds2 but once you wear them you forget about them, they are really that comfy. And the ear tips are designed in a way that adds a little distance between the mesh and my ears so they never get in contact with earwax. Depending on the ear tip size, the buds2 either fit too tight, causing strain around the ear channel, so they react with mild but rapid production of liquid earwax that easily gets into the mesh and clogs it after just a few minutes of usage. Or they don't make a proper seal with the smallest ear tip size, the passive soundstage becomes terrible and the buds sit too loose. I would clean them every single time I used them and it would still just smear the wax over the holes in the mesh which impairs the volume. It's gross, perhaps just that my ears aren't very compatible with this design but I never had any other complaints about the buds2

Hi there, yes I just tested them for you and I can confirm they fit and are interchangable, but I would not recommend that. The reason is because of the difference in the length of the stem as I mentioned in 2:06 between the Bud 2 and Buds 2 Pro. The Buds 2 Pro need the ear tips to be longer to compensate for it's short stem.

Already got rid of my Buds Pro, sorry. From memory, the buds 2 pro audio quality is better than the buds pro because of it's 24 bit audio. Unless you have big ears and can get really good discount for Buds Pro, I won't recommend Buds Pro. With Buds 2 Pro, it has bluetooth 5.3 means better connectivity. I just realised today, it also works with Microsoft Windows swift pair. The ANC is also better on the Buds 2 Pro.

I've read, that even though the buds 2 pro don't have direct ambient sound controls, you can still adjust it (the loudness) in Earbuds settings -> Accessibility settings -> Adjust ambient sound. Can yoh confirm that? And if so, how loud can it get? I have the Byds Plus and the Buds Pro..And have the Ambient sound on high or very high. I know it sounds distorted and metalic that way, but I really like the ability to hear everything, that happens around me. Do the Bus 2 Pro (and the Buds 2) compare with that loudness?

I found the Accessibility settings, but that setting is for the hearing impaired. It's too difficult to be using that with the buds 2 pro. The buds 2 pro ambient sound is good and natural, pretty much the same with the Buds 2 ambient sound setting set to medium. With the Buds 2 ambient sound settings set to high, it's actually not natural because sound and noise that are far away appears to be quite close. So Buds 2 Pro is good even though it does not let us control the ambient sound volume. And yes its quite pitch-y and "metallic" still on the buds 2 pro. Water noise sounds weird.

@@SkyPerspective On the Buds 2 Pro, when I activated the "amplify ambient sound" setting in the accessibility section, I started hearing some distortion (I can't even describe the sound). Which is weird, because on the Buds Pro and Buds 2 I don't hear that. So I have to use them without the amplification. And it sounds a little quiet for me. Like I said, I wouldn't mind some white noise and metalic-ness in the sound. But this distorted sound (whatever it is) was too annoying.

The air vent basically allows air to pass through so it reduces the vacuum effect which is known as the occlusion effect (google it). For example, we hear thumping noise in our ears when we walk with the buds 2 in our ears. The thumping noise is greatly reduced in Galaxy Buds 2 Pro even though it's still there. Our ears usually need to "breathe" and ear buds with air vent is always better than those without. Hope this helps.

Just a quick summary. This Buds 2 pro has now replaced my Bud 2 as my daily driver. It's the best earbuds I have ever used. Amazing noise cancellation and ambient sound pipe through. When I really push them by turning up the native android equaliser and Galaxy wear sound profile to dynamic and turn on Dolby Atmos, the hardware of these Buds can still take it without any distortion. The only thing is the sound signature becomes quite tinny and unnatural at that point. Not a negative con because usually people won't push the earbuds to that sorts of extremes even though it can handle it. In terms of comfort and fit, yes Samsung has nailed it. I used it to watch a 2.5 hours video and after that I don't have any fatigue or pain or urge to remove them straight away. These are some findings which I will be discussing in the upcoming video.

Oh and in terms of the occlusion effect, it's still there like the Buds 2, but it's reduced and is much easier to get used to especially when ambient sound is on. The thing I can't get used to is how good the ANC is. The first time when I was at the food court, I turn on the ANC everything went quiet to the extend my brain 🧠 can't adjust because visually I see people buzzing around me, but my ears says I am in a quiet environment. If only I can show this on the actual video I am making. 😄 Anyway, hope this gives you a bit of an idea.

Buds 2 is just ever so slightly smaller than buds 2 pro, especially without the bulge. Now, in terms of how they look in our ears, they both look about the same size in our ears. Something to note is that Buds 2 has a glossy finish exterior surface while the Buds 2 pro has a matte finish. So buds 2 is more "shiny". What's your concern about the looks?

If you are a buds plus user, my guess is both the Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro will fit you well, but not the Buds Pro. I don't think Buds 2 Pro and Buds Pro belongs to the same series. Buds 2 Pro is close to Buds 2 if anything. I know.... it's confusing. Go with Buds 2 pro if you are after premium audio and Buds 2 for above average audio.
