I definitely do like the black hunter all the versions, I have quite a few of them I even got my sun and his fiancé one for Christmas. Nice shooting Shane. By the way what a view!! 🙏🏼

I've only heard positive things about the black hunter. It just took me a while to have one....grin. I see why they are so well regarded. Yeah we got real lucky finding this place for sale back when we did. Take care brother!

Really nice bow Shane, looks like you will get a lot of enjoyment out of it! I would get one but the original Lwano 60" bows I have supposedly shoot and handle very similar to the Black Hunter. Glad to see a video from ya, God bless ya my friend!

Is the Lancaster Galaxy Ember different than the Black Hunter, because the price sure is. Almost $100 difference. If anyone knows, what’s the difference if so?
@dancarrison9354 Жыл бұрын
I'm 76 and have found my sweet spot with 30 pounders. They have enough power for fun target shooting, especially with fast flight strings, and they don't hurt my shoulders

You bet! I have bows from 29# up to 50#, and the lighter bows get a lot more shooting. Thanks for watching and sharing a comment!

I have a Black Hunter longbow in “30 and love it. Since I’m learning, it lets me concentrate on my form and the feel of the shot, whereas with my Black Hunter recurve In “45 it is harder to feel the subtleties. Great bows! Both were under $100.

They are hard to beat for the money. Very nice bows that one will never outgrow. Thanks for watching!

If you don’t mind, which Black Hunter manufacturer did you buy? The Galaxy Ember is closer to $200 and all things being the same I’d rather save $100 and get the Black Hunter. The problem is there’s several manufacturers using the same name with mixed reviews.
@shanepitzer4126 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't know who actually fabricates the Galaxy Ember. For the price difference you get a fast flight string, fast shipping, and the customer service that Lancaster provides. Also supporting an American company that emplys Americans. Is it worth the extra cost?......only you can decide that.@@billybob-zg4bx

I'm surprised that short bow survived a 32 inch draw length
@shanepitzer4126 Жыл бұрын
I think the short 15-inch riser has something to do with it. It has a fairly long working limb.

Thank you for the review. I am new to archery and i am rather tall at 6feet4. My draw lenght is around 32 inches. Do you think i could shoot this bow comfortably or should i look for something bigger?
@shanepitzer4126 Жыл бұрын
Well, I'm 6'3", with a 32" draw length. I don't have any trouble with stacking, but I'm only using 30# limbs. I would say this bow is right on the edge.

I haven't seen tied nock since the 80's. I've tied mine for many years. They can be screwed up or down the serving for adjustment.
@shanepitzer4126 Жыл бұрын
I've used the crimp-on brass nocks before, but I prefer the tied on nock, it just is easier on tabs, and as you say easier to adjust. Thanks for watching and sharing your comment!

I'm a bit confused as the Ember is $200 locally and the Hunter is $100 on Amazon. Are these really the same bow??
@shanepitzer4126 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think that's the tariff for warranty coverage from Lancaster, closer QC inspection, and a fast-flight string. And no long wait for delivery.
@mfletcher2829 Жыл бұрын
@@shanepitzer4126 Appreciate it. Just ordered the Hunter. Should I replace the string right away, then? Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to getting started.
@shanepitzer4126 Жыл бұрын
@@mfletcher2829 Well I had ordered a flemish twist string also, when I ordered my bow. The issue string is an endless loop style. It looks serviceable. It's probably dacron. I think you could start shooting with it just fine. I just like the flemish twist strings. I put the issued string in the spare parts box.

They can be just as addictive as the air rifles. I just got into archery about four years ago, just traditional bows. I really enjoy it. The shooting, the arrow building, and tuning.
