I have the sturgeon pretty much the same kayak, qustion what mount did you use to hold the transducer in the compartment

Did you find an alternative routing for the transducer cable ?

No just used clear gorilla tape to keep it stuck down.

Hi, I’ve got the same kayak, how have you fitted the transducer (screws glue etc) Have you fitted the plastic protector plate back over the transducer port or have you just left it open.

@@pogoworley4903 there are screw holes for the transducer bracket already. No I’ve left the cover plate off

​@spongebobstew1975 should put the cover plate on its to protect the transducer from debris etc

@@darrenrodd. I haven’t, it will interfere with the transducer. Had no issues with mine in over a year

@spongebobstew1975 how will it interfere with the transducer? You can mount them inside a kayak if you wanted to , what bracket did you use for the transducer? I'm looking at getting the same fish finder

Had some good sessions. The pedal drive is amazing. Even cuts through easily enough with a head wind.

arent you concerned that the battery is a hazzard and hard to get to if something happens like it bursting. Ive got the same model, how waterproof is that grommet?

It’s never let any water in yet. The battery is fitted inside another container. Therefore no risk of leaks. Also can be removed very easily.
