Okay lets just be careful when doing comparisons like this. 1. Your bias towards expecting the note10+ to be quicker is very clear. The Note 10 won a lot of these speed launches, you were a lot faster to point out the few occasions the 10+ won. 2. More RAM does not in any way mean a device with the same CPU should be quicker in this style test! In fact in this scenario it would be expected that the regular Note 10 should be either as fast or probably fast than the Note10+. This is because the excess RAM of the Note10+ can mean more complexity at memory addressing levels, basically - more memory addresses, more memory to organise and monitor. 3. You clearly use the Note 10 as your driver? So this is not a fair test... You had a sim plugged in and password on the Note10. I just watched a Note10 toast a Note10+ on boot up time so I wasnt sure was that because of the bloatware on your daily driver or the difference between Exynos and Snapdragon. *To test RAM you shouldve reopened the apps in the multitasking tray phonebuff style! Anyway i am critical but I do appreciate your video I just wanted this video to better help my decision. Cheers

More ram doesnt effect app opening speed. It help to have the apps running in the background, and dont have to reload them. So in a real life situation, note10+ will be faster.

Please note that this doesn't show the note 10 plus being faster (with powering on test) due to the fact that the 10 has a password which means it can NOT 100% start up until it's unlocked. You could wait 3 hours then unlock it and it would say it's finishing starting. The plus doesn't has a password so it can fully start and finish but the normal one has to be unlocked to finish

Hello man, cool video... i have a request for a video, since you have the exynos version (i'm Europe based). Could you do a video of the battery life of both these phones? All reviews i can see are almost all coming from USA... Hardly any videos of people living outside of the snapdragon region... This could be cool as well as unique, since the smaller note has hardly received any reviews here on KZbin, and especially not the exynos version... thanks in advance

If you have the s10 5g but using a 4g network, your battery will definitely last longer than 4300. But if you are using 5g on the 5g variant, you might actually get slightly worse battery life than the 4300.

Who said more RAM speeds up things?? 😆😆😆 You just proved a misscomception spread by companies and paid youtubers to make people spend more. And about futureproofing?? My laptop has 8gb and runs 2-3 instances of heavy architectural software along with chrome with gazillion tabs opened and doesn't sweat. What are you gonna run on your smartphone for crying out loud.. Stop bothering with RAM size in smartphones, it's useless and embarassing for those with a little bit of hardware knowledge.

It's not a fair comparison. Apple has a different operating system and environment and is coded in a way that's far more efficient than the way Android is. Therefore Android in general requires more processing power and more RAM to do the same. And again... I'm not sure if you guys are even paying attention. I clearly communicate in my video, that the more RAM in the note 10+ does not really matter much.

And that's not to say your videos are not interesting. They are. This one was a waist of time though. And you should be calmer in your responses, don't rush to attack critisism. Know that your viewers judge characters as well as content. Hay ! Its very reasonable explanation ! I tried the same test with my previous flagships Note 9 512GB and Note 8 which both runs like a champ and yes the test shows a tiny advantage for Note 9 when you restarted both. When comes the apps test I noticed that in same cases Note 8 was a tiny faster or oposite but the finnaly conclusion is that both are the same. So RAM doesnt matter also in my case ! Both are even ! Nice presentation !

I got confused when I've preordered an n 20 ultra when suddenly I found that the version that's imported to our country is only 8 GB ram while the the 5g version is 12 gb ram , so I don't know what to do, if I have to cancel the preorder or not ??

the reason the note 10 is slower to start in this video may be because it is locked by pin which enables encryption. the plus has no security set here

My Note 9 512 gb is still a beast . Although I also have the Note 10 plus I prefer the Note 9 more because of no punch hole on the screen , it still have the headphone jack and the fingerprint is alot faster. Also the Note 9 is not huge does not feel like you're holding a brick on your hand.

You are literally comparing a phone to itself, and somehow you are pointing out the differences even though they arent there. The extra RAM does not change how Android treats RAM. None of your test conditions is gonna max out RAM usage on the 8GB phone, so the 12GB phone has no visible advantage.

I was thinking of getting the Galaxy S20 8GB or Galaxy S20 5G 12GB (In Belgium) but i think future proofing is more my way, as i am not a person who changes phones every year, more like every 4 to 5 years. but thanks for the video, because i was looking if a 12GB phone would launch apps faster etc... but i am mainly using it to call, text, take pictures, record, and also IRL livestreaming, but your video made me want to future proof and spend that 100euro more.

I guess without argue of if ram is to help reload easier or not. (like many of comments below said) I have two snapdragons s20 ultra, one is 12gb ram, 256gb rom. Another one is 16gb ram, 512gb rom. No matter how many times I tried, the 16gb ram snapdragon s20 ultra, perform much more faster than my note 20 ultra snapdragon version which is also 12gb ram, but is 865+ . Should preform faster than my 865 snapdragon 16gb ram s20 ultra, right? Nope, my note 20 ultra snapdragon version with 12gb ram is still slower then my s20 ultra snapdragon 16gb ram.

Try loading up the ram with multiple apps. The N10+ will be a speed demon in comparison to even a newer generation 8gb of ram Samsung.

You realize the processor is what controls the speed of the phone. Ram controls how many different task i can do at once.

Let me first straighten out for you.. Saying that processor controls the speed is vague. Processor determines how quickly instructions can be executed and RAM dictates how many instructions can be stored as buffer for the processor. So both impact speed..a fast processor with low RAM will eventually result in low speed and show processor with high RAM will also result in low speed.
