About the regular note 20 having a "better display", the reason why the note 20 ultra display looks dimmer is due to the higher refresh rate. if you lock it at 60hz, it should be brighter. higher refresh rates require more power to keep up with the extra processing. The higher the refresh rate, the dimmer the screen will be unless the screen is ultra powerful. It's the same for Gaming monitors. My 144hz LG gaming monitor is way brighter at 60hz compared to it's 144hz setting.

So I've been a Note fan for a long time and I use it as a sketchbook just about every day and I actually noticed in the store that the regular note 20 screen looked better but what really sold it for .e was the flat screen without the rounded off edges. I hated the rounded off edges when drawing on the phone. The only con I have about my choice is the plastic back but I always have it in a case so it wasn't that big of a deal. Plus it does make it lighter in the pocket.

9:04 Looks like the screen on the regular Note was extra bright like it was detecting sunshine, because you can see it starts to dim when you tilt it away from the lights in the ceiling. If these borders pass through a jungle of a wildlife park, we can't tell animals to not cross, we can't distinguish between air of one country from another, just like this, so in that sense it's imaginary. Moreover, Uncle Lew emphasised the fact that the channel has a global audience not just Canadians, so the inability of the companies to send products is just because of these border issues. @@DocOTEPStudio For everybody having this issue, I figured it out. It only happens on the homescreen. Disabling the "Apply Dark Mode to Wallpaper " in dark mode settings should fix the issue. Washed out screen gone and now matches side by side with my note 9. Your screen should then pop. You're welcome.

I dont know why I've noticed it on my galaxy s10 plus too. For some reason even though I have adaptive brightness off, the phone still dims the screen even on the highest brightness! Its so annoying! When I get out in the sun the screen gets brighter basically like I have adaptive brightness on when I have it off. I wish they would fix this

THe Note 20 Ultra is a little better, with QHD+ at 120 hz, but you can't use the phone with both QHD+ and 120 hz. They're honestly both ripoffs for the price point, considering at that pricepoint you can get much better phones like the OnePlus 8 Pro or even an iPhone, which is still a better value at the $1000 pricepoint than the standard Note 20.
