After 2 years of flawless operation, my Note 9 hit a small rock when falling from about 1 meters. It killed the lower part of the screen and got the phone to make random "touches" often. But, it was still somewhat usable. A few days ago, I got a used Note 9 to replace it, because I was dearly missing the Note 9's functionality. At a local shop, it fell out of my hand, display down straight to the stone floor. I was terrified and so was the shopkeeper. But alas, no signs of any damage (sigh). These things are though, but have their limits - keep that in mind.

Drops are unpredictable, I have not used Apple nor I want to. I have had Samsung and Sony phones, and I would definitely go with Sony for durability, my Z2 withstood so many hard surface drops (like rocks in the mountain and ivory floor) that it made me look in awe my phone. On the other hand, my S6 Edge plus that I got that year got 1 drop from the car into concrete and give away on the first drop! On the second drop a few months later, my phone's screen stopped working; and those curved phones are a hassle to replace.

Had a Note 9 since it came out, its resilient to drops but NOT applied pressure on the curved edges. For example my phone cracked and kind of looks like a spider web on left top 2/3 of the screen, no idea how it happened pulled the phone out of my pocket to find it like this (i also had a tech 21 screen protector and case on at the time). It cracked a little more badly this time on the 1/3 on the left bottom part of the screen this time spreading right across the bottom part of the phone and stretching to the top. Great phone love it, just be aware i dont think the edges cant take much pressure!

I have an iPhone 6, and an otter box case. I drop my phone like 6 times today and at least 3 times everyday. I’ve been using it for 4 years, and using the same case. I’ve dropped it from multiple cement stair cases, 2 stories high landing in hard services, and many many drops. But not a single crack, dent, even scratch. 4 years of abuse, and the body still fine. But then again, I literally cannot trust myself or use my phone without a case on, so it’s constantly on and that’s why it’s lasted so long.

I dropped my note 9 off my bathroom light by my shower bout 65" -7 just screen protectector no problem. But it killed it of the tub ledge in inch of water had to put it in my heater 4 an hr. Just like my old non ip 68 or any resistance to get it back wTF y no removable bat got stupid water resistance no better? What happened to liwiipel?
