In case anyone is still buying the v40. I have used one for about 3 years. Battery life new was between 5.5 to 6hrs screen on time playing KZbin and low drain games. After 3 years I get 4hrs 38 min . So battery has degraded but that's to be expected. Ordered a new battery to use it as for just KZbin, surfing,kickass sound system with high end headphones and games. These phones are still a steal and solid in my opinion. Everything is still fairly fast for what it is. No terrible lagging. Also have v35 and battery life is better on that than v40. V60 is my daily driver and that's a killer phone.

Keep in mind the S10 is also using a smaller chip if it's SD855 then it's a 7nm chip which is more efficient, with battery life and overall performance.

Nice vid eric, I don't quite understand how the v40 came out the way it did, I average between 4.5 and 5.5 hours screen on time with my V40 and I got about a extra hour with my Note 9, but again I play a lot of Pubg which just drains the better or even the camera app drains the battery too on my V40 but soon Samsung will own my V40 and I will own the s10+ which should be shipping out the 22nd, way after everyone else already has theirs but it is what it is, keep up the great work Eric

I'm just curious. I watched the full video and heard the disclaimer about the LG V40 lowering its brightness throughout the night to save battery life. But from some of the comments here, it seems like that's a bad thing. I figured if the phone is trying its best to save battery life then users would actually be glad for that but some comments seem to suggest otherwise. It's also the newest so it's battery hasn't really been affected that much by usage. All other phones are older and probably been used more which does affect battery. So etching to think about Lg might have performed pretty good because it's been used the least because it's new

I think all of you LG V40 fans need to chill. You know full well that man said the V40 kept force dimming the screen while all the others stayed maxed the entire time. Obviously he didn't catch it as soon as it dimmed Everytime so therefore he issued a disclaimer, but yet you think the V40 can compete with the Note 9 or the S10. Everybody knows LG been garbage. LG=Low Grade.

As someone who has owned the Galaxy S6, S8 and Note 8, I can tell you that my current LG V40 is not low grade. None of these manufacturers have a spotless record, especially Samsung. The V40 is a great phone and if you took the time to actually use one I'm sure you'd agree.
