I bought my S10e in Portugal at 515€ just two or three months after it came out, I think they are willing to drop their prices quicker on their Exynos versions. Furthermore, the Exynos versions are more open to community stuff, see the XDA forums for more info. Not to say that it's better, but there are some real advantages to the Exynos, even if you suffer on the performance and on the battery.

Sorry for not reading all the comments if this has been raised before, but isn't there a distinct task based speed difference and then an accumulative effect? If we're highlighting the performance, there seems a need to show the speed difference per app too, rather than just a total for a group of tasks? By the time a few apps have been opened, the snapdragon is ahead but we're not seeing by how much it's racing ahead, it's just obvious every mechanised press is lagging for the proprietary chip.

For me what is even more startling is the difference in battery life because let's face it, unless the user is a hardcore gamer or a tech head, they're not gonna notice a big difference in performance atleast during their first year of usage (updates normally deteriorate performance and battery life at the cost of new features in the UI and that's when the Snapdragon's performance boost is going to matter). But battery life, judging by other tests conducted by TechChap, Mrwhosetheboss, etc show that there is approximately a 25% difference between the 2 varients. Now that is a big difference that even general people will surely notice. So eagerly awaiting the battery test.

There are a FEW games worth playing on mobiles(such as sky: children of light, which i highly suggest to try). Fornite is quite meha and asphalt is sorta shit too. Minecraft is cool. I do play minecraft sometimes and have no problems with performance, even when playing for hours(worth noting i have ESTN shaders installed and 20 chunks of render distance).

My S20 ultra is exynos and it's forever lagging not minutely but significantly,I contacted my network who suggested it was broken I had only had it 2dsys and the more iusedit the slower it got so I sent it back it was replaced with a new one. And this to was extremely slow it's infuriating. It's that bad honestly I've put it away and I'm reusing my galaxy S8 which to is exynos but works fine. I've tried to purchase the S20 ultra Snapdragon but can't unless I buy from USA at an inflated price. Id understand of I had the phone months and had tons of content but no I hardly did more then watch KZbin afew emails and I'm gutted about how Vodafone react to this issue.

Be wary that a lot of phone shops in the UK will tell you that the S20's they sell are the Snapdragon variant. They're not. It's not the sales person wilfully lying to you, the sales material they're given says the phone has a Snapdragon CPU. They wouldn't know it's an Exynos unless they looked into it. Every Carphone Warehouse I've been into says the phone has a Snapdragon CPU, but if you pick up the demo unit and go into system info it's an Exynos. The company are lying to their staff and thus making them accidentally give you wrong information. I used to work for Carphone Warehouse, and they do this all the time. The specs they display for phones and send out to staff to read are usually wrong to make the phone look better. They're basically banking on the staff not reading up on the devices for themselves.

Exynos had to press the Excel document twice, might explain a bit of the difference on that particular test. I'm curious why it struggles with loading. Being a slower chip for rendering is a pure SOC performance matter so that's understandable how/why.

in short: there is a difference between the two, but it's minimal, you won't even notice it unless you have the two cell phones side by side
