Great vid, Jonathan. 1 question - regarding taking stills through native 8k video. Are the stills like a screenshot? Or actual full quality images.. also - how big are the file sizes? 108 can be overkill overtime from what I've seen (20-30mb) looking to get a gage from 33mp perspective.

It isn't really a screen shot its literally a frame grab so the images end up being full 33mp from the 8K. I'll be diving into the camera shortly and doing an extensive dedicated video. Hang tight! haha

Can anyone please tell me how the hell to get get the payment thing from coming up every single time I swipe upward? When I'm playing games every time I'm trying to hit something at the bottom of the screen it pops up with the little thing showing the 3 bars, home & back buttons. But it doesn't go away!!! When it does that i have to exit out of the game and re-log in to get the little button screen to go away. I have to do this every few seconds to get it off of there. Idk if that is because of the payment thing or what but its driving me absolutely crazy! Wish I could post a photo to really show what I'm talking about cuz idk if my explaing makes enough sense for yall to understand. Any help is much appreciated! Please & thank u!

I just got mine this week. Super excited that I right away drained the battery. I charge it up to 100% then unplug it and went ahead using it again. My question is, did I have to charge it for like 2hours for the initial charging? Because I did not do that. Kinda worried that would affect the battery life.

Hi Jonathan, if you keep the 5 apps open, will it be detrimental to the battery life? I mean you have to consume power just to keep those open. If the effect is negligible then I will always use this feature.

It's unlikely to be any detriment , after all unless you close all your apps they're stored in ram as it is. All this is doing is keeping the set apps from being kicked out of the memory. I dare say if you loaded memory intensive apps on top of the saved apps it might ask you if you want to close a preferred app. I could be way off in my thinking but it sounds plausible.

This is what I’m thinking as well. However if your leaving games running in the background technically it would consumed processor power even if it’s only slight due to the game being paused. I’m going to try it out and see for sure.

Hey John, between the S20 and S20+, how useful is the TOF camera? Does it gives a much superior bokeh effect when taking photos? Does the S20 even have any bokeh effect? I like having that background blur during taking potrait photos, I'm sort of leaning towards S20+ but wondering if the price is worth for only that one feature

Have used fast charge on my s10 since day 1....no difference from the day i got it till now with battery use or longevity.

Fast charging is a little different than super fast charging though. I’m still not sure about actual damage to Samsung batteries but I know that my iPhone 11 Pro Max only charges to 95% capacity now due to using the faster charger.

@@OT4Tech that's iPhone though. And considering that Apple has consistent battery problems this isn't surprising. You can't possibly be concerned about Samsung because of your experience with Apple. That's like avoiding buying a Honda because you Toyota broke down.

Battery technology is practically the same across the board. We are not comparing experiences, performance, or even battery life for that matter. It’s simple science, we are talking about pushing a higher wattage to a battery in order to charge it faster. A similar concept would be to say if you exercise everyday 6 days a week you will get in shape or you can take supplements and steroids to get you there quicker with less effort. One is definitely going to have long term side effects. There’s plenty of research out there showcasing that there is a risk of decreasing the overall battery capacity by extremely fast charging. Also, Android has plenty of battery issues, this isn’t something that is isolated to one manufacturer or operating system. However, if you must bring this up wasn’t the Note 7 exploding because of batteries becoming swollen and overheated?

Anyone has this problem in the Facebook app on the S20 Ultra, when swiping through the tabs that the top part doesn't retract so it's kinda hiding some buttons. For example, hiding the view my profile button, chopping up pinned groups buttons in the middle and can't see friend requests, etc.. it's kinda annoying. Is this a bug?

I only use fast charging if I'm in a pinch. Otherwise I'll just cable charge or wireless charge. Fast charging does greatly diminish the battery life in the long run

How can you be on the fence about super fast charging. The charging power adjusts to avoid frying the battery. Fast charging has taken the same approach for years! No WAY Samsung puts out tech that would destroy the battery after the Note 7 debacle. My pre-order arrived Monday morning, 5days early and I'm thrilled with every thing about the phone.
