Samsung offering me 390 euros for my Note 20 Ultra. Definitely worth a shot, already ordered Note 23 ultra. Mostly because of Snapdragon CPU. Also they give buds 2 pro headphones and double the storage for free. Selling buds is another 150 euros. So in total 750 euros for brand new phone is quite a bargain IMHO

I actually do like the boxy designe They also gave a 100€ discount if you registered for the stream + if you preorder the 512gb you get actually the 1tb version + Galaxy Buds2 Pro, at least here in Germany. So overall around 1480€ for the entire packet instead of 2100 without discounts. That's kinda solid for a preorder action. After debating last night, if I was going to switch from my iPhone 14 pro max. I finally pulled the trigger and placed my pre-order this morning getting the S23 Ultra in Lavender 512 GB for $500 after getting $900 for my trade in (really Awesome Samsung offers the 512gb for same price as the 256gb. Well Apple charges extra). And using my $150 credit I got matching lavender galaxy buds 2, and a lavender silicone case with a wireless dual charger for free!!! Sweet deal!

The file sizes are not that bad, 18MBs for a 200MP photo and 4MB for a 50MP photo, I guess that's because I see the photos are being saved (compressed) as JPG. Don't know how much space ech photo would be if they were saved as RAW, EXR or PNGs.

The Spen is so useful. When I had a Note9, I use to connect my smartphone via hub with a TV and soundbar and control the music player with the Spen from the sofa or whatever. Or connected directly to the soundbar via Bluetooth and do the same. Great.

I was able to trade in my S20+ with my carrier and only have to pay $200 for the s23 Ultra. It was hard to decide to between Ultra and Plus because I did like the rounded edges and the overall slightly smaller/less weight of the Plus but I really enjoyed the s pen back when I had the Note.

I feel like the number pad would be beneficial for me, personally, when you need to enter in your SNN (social security number) for work applications and credit/debit card details, for instance. It's more pro active and quicker so you don't have to keep looking for numbers on the number row part of the keyboard. I'm on the other side of the keyboard layout than Ella. Also, I do like the cream Samsung phone. I might get that one instead of the other colors.

You're right about the Samsung laptops being a weak point. The previous laptops interfaced nicely with the phones but didn't have the specs I needed for design work. I'm so glad they decided to add the number pad as well. I may just replace my Razer with the Book Ultra.

I am glad to see the integrated 10-key since I use it a lot. However, the integrated touchpad takes up too much space for the amount of typing I do, and my wrists would constantly be hitting the pad. My preference is an Arc Bluetooth mouse versus the integrated touchpad in any laptop (personal preference). I am pre-ordering one of the phones, it is time to say goodbye to my Note 8.

I have used s22 ultra for around 10 months now. Dropped 2 times. One time from waist level. No scratch, no dented at all. 2nd time got threw from my 1y 5m nephew & survived. I'm using silicon screen protector. Money well spend 😌

Nice review! I preordered this new launch phone with this color palette- cream. I’m excited i’m switching over from my first and last iPhone experience. Its a 12 pro max a few dealbreakers from it such as the phone misbehaving and entering into s.o.s mode which locks the phone and makes it unusable. Inexcusable and the sceen issues it might need a cleaning but not this bad. I’m happy with what it does do good but i’m saying goodbye to iphones for good after this
