Very good and complete test. Here in Brazil, my S20 FE 6GB/128GB cost me 290 dollars while an S23 Ultra 8GB/256GB today costs 855 dollars, that is, almost 3x more... If it is for the value, it is not 3x better than the S20 FE but it has your difference for sure. I think the S20 FE with Snapdragon was a game changer in the market. Line S23 is excellent. S24 and S24 Plus here in Brazil come with Exynos... nobody likes them here. S20 FE is still better than many of Samsung's current mid-range products. Congratulations on the work Soto-Tek. Hugs.

I don't know if people know about this but I really like how your phones are pointed towards one point, their camera direction aren't perfectly parallel, so the images are like side-by-side 3D images and I can see the real scenery with depth if I cross my eyes a bit.

Very interesting video comparison! It's hard to find a present phone's comparison with 2 phones from 3 years ago. As others have pointed out, the FE 4g version seems MUCH better than the 5g variant for some reason...did you feel the same in your experience?

Hmmm I'm not sure about that. Much better is a little bit of a stretch. I think it does better in certain occasions, but the 5G version is overall slightly better. Shutter speed is also better. Thanks for watching and stay safe.

what I noticed in the video the 4g variant of S20fe (exynos) tends to show a better shadows and they all have some color in the dark parts of the video. and overall a bit better pleasing image because of better HDR compared to 5g variant of s20Fe 5G. on the other hand 5G variant looks definatelly better in low light (video) compared to Exynos model. There are pros and cons. If you film mostly in daylight than 4g looks better to me overall. HDR look almost like an iphone while 5g variant is crushing shadows especially in ultra wide angle. Even with KZbin slight compression (it's not as bad as it used to) the differences can be perfectly seen, of course, if you watch it on a good screen not just any screen. I own S20 FE 4G Snapdragon, and I shoot video almost exclusively using main lens in 4K 60 fps. Storage space is not a problem since I transfer all photos and videos to external hard drive when it is nearly full. That way I have the flexibility to create videos both in conventional horizontal 4K mode, or vertical 1080p for social media without losing quality because of the cropping. Thanks to your video, I see no difference in that mode in daylight with S23 Ultra in terms of quality and stability. I think I can keep my phone for another two years.

Exactly what I was looking for.Thank you so much. I own the s20 already for 4 years and I have to say is the tougher phone I ever had.i work on the mountains and it has fallen like 1000 times ,and I have it like new.Just a good case and a Chinese screen protector. I was thinking to change it for the s23 ultra as in dark conditions or not enough light, the s20fe loose a lot of quality but I don't know if I want to spend so much money just for that.

I have the S20 FE 5G and I already had the 4g too. For me S20 FE is a game changer. S23U and S24u have a lot of features, without restrictions, but for photography itself I highly doubt it will be 4x better costing 4x more. Many features are software and that Samsung does not deliver on lower lines like the FE. It is not a hardware limitation. I'm wanting to buy an S24U but I can't rationally justify the price compared to what I would gain in terms of video and photos. Great review friend. Thanks for the comparison images. Hug.

As an s20fe sd user I like my phone and all, enough for everything I do but I don't like the pictures coming out of stock camera. Gcam results are much bettter but it is not convinient, switching between cameras takes several seconds. Also I find it a little big for my hand. I was considering getting an s23 with trade-in but I'm still trying to figure out if it is worth it. Probably not, despite s20fe getting its last update. Nice video by the way, keep up the good work.

The problem is that it's difficult to find a proper Gcam and in most of the times they are good in one thing but not so good in another one. I think that the pics and videos from the S20 FE are very competent and good enough for most people. Thanks for watching and stay safe.

There is a setting for GCam that disables the HDR+ settings and improves the speed a lot. Same quality, way faster speed, I always use GCam now because it's way faster and the quality is superior.

As I have mentioned in other videos, I own the S20FE 5G and the S23 Ultra. The S23 Ultra has stabilisation in practically every mode and lenses. I still think the S20FE's does well for their age. The S20FE 4G colours seems slightly different in some situations. Overall for me, I am happy with my S20FE 5G that I got with great discount back in 2020, from Argos of all places. It made my Lumix TZ's almost redundant apart from long telephoto situations. My S23 Ultra has filled that longer telephoto gap. I will test the Ultra against my TZ100 (big 1" sensor 10x, TZ90 and TZ70 (both smaller sensors and 30x). They say the best camera is the one you have with you.

I have both S23 Ultra 5G and S20 FE. I like pictures made by S20 FE more. I think the main difference is in the photo matrix. Photos made by S20 FE are better quality in 12MP mode.

Tenho o S20 FE 5g e já tive os 4g também. Até gostaria de pegar um S23U ou S24U mas não consigo justificar o preço. Ele não tem cameras 4x melhores ... E seria o unico motivo para gastar esta fortuna nestes dispositivos pq para uso normal, ambos suprem muito bem. SD 865 é um chip fantástico... Sem falar que são aparelhos que possuem entrada para cartão de memória coisa que a partir do S21 FE não se encontra mais e somos obrigados a pagar mais por mais memória interna já que não temos entrada para cartão SD.

Obvio que tem mais recursos no S23u / S24U como visão do diretor, expert raw, estabilização na camera frontal, autofoco na ultra wide, s-pen, uma tela com maior brilho, processador mais rápido, video em 8K, uma camera a mais mas tudo isso não altera em MUITO a qualidade final do arquivo de foto pelo que ando vendo ... já para videos acho que tem seus benefícios a mais, a questão é se estes benefícios valem 3x, 4x o valor de um S20 FE (mas isso é particular de cada um né.. existem pessoas que acreditam que vale e como o dinheiro é da pessoa, não dá pra falar nada)...

that's the problem with the s20fe 5g, unfortunately it's quite a good phone, if your requirements are that the phone should record in all conditions it will do it. Not as sensational as the s23 ultra, but good enough that you can easily watch it even on a laptop. I'm waiting for an iphone 15 pro or another interesting phone, maybe I'll finally abandon the s20fe 5g, because it's so good that it's hard to think about spending money on another 🤣

For the amount of money difference, I'll stay with my S20FE tks... there's not THAT much improvement, just better video stabilization

The s20 fe 4g with the exynos 990 has a worse photo processing when compared with the s20 fe snapdragon 865 even in photos and video the exynos is worse than the snapdragon.
