really good review! I've had mine for about a week and a half and I can't put it down lol. just to touch on a couple of negative things you said. fingerprint magnet. most phones are and especially ones like S7E with glass front and back. I personally always have a case so it's OK. speakers not being the best. I find them pretty good. they chose to have water proof and dust proof IP68 over speaker quality. I'm pleased they did.

The phone is great, but my biggest complaint is that the edges are always prone for accidental touches.. I have real difficulties using this phone without a case. It's sad that so many of the reviews didn't mention this at all when the phone came out.. From my understanding though, the note 7's design is much better to avoid the accidental touches

I've had my edge for about a week and a half and no issues with accidentally touching the edge menus. have you tried making the tab on the side small?

1983Dave1983 I don't necessarily mean the edge menu. It's not that I accidentally activate it. It's more than when I'm holding my phone I accidentally touch buttons or the screen that is on the sides of the display.. It's worst when you lay on you back and are going to type something.. But even when you're standing upright it can happen. The facebook app is the worst as it has a lot of action buttons on the edges of the display

Going from a Note 7 which was a defective one and saving myself $400 and getting the S7 Edge instead with a VR headset to go with it. The S7 edge is just like the Note 7 without the pen and the Eye scanner.

I love my S7 Edge. No problems with it whatsoever. The display is beautiful, performance is great, battery is the best I've had in a smartphone. Just an all round great phone. I can see why this is a great seller for Samsung.

It was my fav phone but i couldn't buy it as i was job less and studying so when i get into job, i purchased s10. 4 years later i still in awe of this s10 . oh this is late but the shakiness of 4k is cause by the hardware and software image stabilization messing with each other turn it off and it'll save you and you'll get some nice 4k videos.

The s7 edge was still running fine (I did even install a custom s9 rom to make it more up to date and smoother) and I was using it as a secondary phone until it was unfortunately stolen like a year ago. But it's overall a great phone and refused to die and lasted for more than 6 years in total.

You talked about gaming being particularly good on this. But I experienced micro stutters in games like subway surfers, alto's adventure and temple run 2 etc. Has this been sorted in an update? I bought this in April 2016 and returned it coz games stuttered, palm rejection was unpolished as palm touches interfered in games that required thumb manoeuvres while holding the phone vertically, slo-mo video was jittery and the rear camera churned heavily over-processed photos.

Aside from software and hardware issues with the loudspeaker on mine, I love it. The only way it could be more perfect is if it came with a digitizer and stylus. (But unfortunately you can't get the Note 7 anymore.)
