One month ago I had an iPhone 8 plus (which I loved) but I sent it to my syster who lives in Germany and now I have an s9+) being honest, I really miss my iPhone 8 plus, I do like the s9+, but what I don't like is that the face recognition does not work really well as iPhone X does. People have told me that I should not use any kind of screen protector but I use one, and I don't feel the screet as "premium" as it is .. Please don't buy galaxy s9 plus. I have one N I'm going to switch to iPhone. Because we think the features on the galaxy s9 like extended storage memory, style or camera quality can beat the iPhone but the galaxy s9 sucks on quality. fhaze10 There is little need for 1440p on under 7” displays. Beyond 450ppi, you can not see individual pixels under normal viewing distances anymore. You probably can still barely see them if you look at the display very closely (say, less than 10cm from your eye) but that’s not how you normally look at your phone. My old phone has 400ppi and I already cannot see individual pixels already. The benefits from 450ppi (XS) to 520ppi (Note 9) are very unnoticeable under normal using conditions and it will impact your battery life instead. Indeed, Note 9 running 1440p has been tested to has shorter battery life than XS Max despite having 1000mAh more of battery. At this point, other factors like colour accuracy, viewing angle are more important for display quality than just resolution number. That’s why the XS can have the best display even though it has lower res than Note 9 because higher res means practically nothing if it’s already beyond our resolving capability. You can ask the same question why Note 9 had the best display ever before XS came out when it can’t even show 4k content. Because it doesn’t matter!

fhaze10 Sorry, I misunderstood your comment. KZbin recently dropped support for the codec Apple use to decode high res content and now only use their proprietary codec so in the iOS KZbin app you could no longer have 1440p and above options. I have the X and it used to have these options until very recently which I just noticed. So sorry for the inaccuracy, I believe it’s a dispute between Apple and Google. But that’s irrelevant to the fact that the XS has been tested to have the best smartphone display quality-wise. But it’s indeed disappointing that such a good display could not show that extra bit of resolution in KZbin.

Not to mention the back (colors) of the phones; Samsung has definitely won in that department for sure as their phones are just down right gorgeous. The Xs Max is touting the new gold color; I initially bought it and brought it back to get the white/silver instead. That gold looks that a simple old tan color with glass over top. Samsung's colors are so beautiful they look like jewelry.

This video isn't really good. Go to a store and ask for an opinion. Samsung is cheaper and is a top quality phone. IPhone is more expensive, but if you want to play at games and you are looking for real power that extra money you have to pay is worth it. IPhones are really fast. Even an iPhone 5 s in 2019 is a good phone ; cheap and is fast as fuck. If you ask me ( who uses phone for playing and AR apps) iPhone 8 plus is the best price and quality wise! I really want to to video conferencing, take pix of all the beautiful places i visit for my social media pages, and i love doing videos and podcasts, so I needed something that would give me the best options for how I like to use my camera. First, I like to say that I’m not a apple fan boy. I have had the S9, Note 9 and now have the Xmax. I must say after being with Samsung for a while, their software can get laggy. In addition, all that extra software shit you will not use it over time. More importantly, the apps are what give the phones their character. However, apple apps and IOS just works better. Trust me both are great phones, but I’m finding out simplifying things are much better than software that’s just is glorified bloat ware. Now, imagine if apple had Samsung software on it and Samsung had apple software. Which phone you think going run the software better. Apple will work better because of their A 12chips. Now I have the X max. It’s something sexy and slick with this phone. I just works and move like butter. Smooth! I’m just saying. Samsung is nice too and apple re sale value is better. I admit Apple can put more extra toys in the box. It’s about having a clean experience. That’s all it is with Apple products.

I own both phones, but there's been times when I've owned one at a time, and I can tell you that you will get tired of the easy going (boring) Iphone after a while and switch back because the Samsung allows you to do so much more. I have always switched back and forth between the 2 phones, which is why I finally said to heck with it and just bought one of each so when I get tired of the smooth, easy going Iphone, I put it in the drawer and take out the exciting Samsung. :)

Love the comparison, but something that jumped out at me is that at no time did you mention the TELEPHONE. After all, these are PHONES, and one reason many love the Iphone is Facetime. I realize that the Duo app exists for Android now, but for some reason, many I talk to always ask, does it have "Facetime" (when asking about the S9). Plus there's so many nice extras involved with the "calling" features available on Samsung that do not exist on the Iphone, such as the blocking feature, which is easy as can be on the S9. Yes, Iphone has it, but you have to go into settings further to get there whereas with the S9 it's a button right there on the call screen if you want to block/unblock a caller. FYI, I have both phones because there's something each has that the other doesn't which I like. Having said that, I do realize that the S9 plus really is, IMO, the better offering; but I do feel the Iphone is more relaxing and simple, which amazes me that it costs so much more because you get so much less; and yes, I'm foolish enough to pay for it. ;)

It's crazy how when Samsung announced the infinity edge display, apple did the same thing latee, on in the year with the iPhone x, but gave it a notch for flavor. It was a test run and when it sold well, they scrapped the whole original iPhone design and went all in with the iPhone X Line. Now this year, you have phones that are larger, just like galaxies, and you have the round edges on the screen, just like galaxies. That's just what I see. My opinion is apple is trying too hard too hard to compete with Android's design and they are starting to lack originality. They even got rid of the fingerprint scanner completely just to look more like a Galaxy. When apple are the ones who introduced a fingerprint scanner on your phone when they released the iPhone 5s.

Apple milked the same design for too long. Once the Galaxy S8 came out, they had no choice. The galaxy phones were too beautiful. So they release a phone that is practically bezeless after other companies did it first, and FINALLY implemented amoled technology and called it "the future". Lol. I've owned plenty of iPhones over the years. Nowadays people just own them because it's trendy. Ask any teenage girl to choose between a Note 9 and a XS Max. They'll pick the iPhone every time and say ew to Samsung without knowing anything between the two. My girlfriend's sister picked up my S8 Plus last year and said wow at the design and screen. She's another apple user that buys it because it's trendy.

Like I have been looking at the s8 prices compare to the iphone 7 prices and the s8 is way more cheaper and fluctuates depending on certain things and it isn't a bad phone people just are brainwash to thing that samsung suck while they have amazing phones.

Use the brain that was given to you, son. The script doesn’t need to change just for the sake of changing it. If the products changed dramatically every year, the script would change with the same intensity. If the products only change slightly, the script will also just have to be tweaked slightly.

I had been and iphone guy since the iphone4. So that been said I like iphone and I've support it for years but I no longer could continue to do so because of continuous price raise for less the phone. My last iphone was the 7+ good solid phone don't get me wrong, but I recently upgrade to the s9 cause I didn't wanna pay $1400 after taxes on the iphone Xs max. I paid $519 bucks at bestbuy for the s9. Now I say my god what have I been missing this phone is so amazing can do so much more, less the price better tech. Done... never going back.

The s9 also has the same features as the 3d touch, if you hold the apps you get more options about that app like answer a message or send a message and things like that the only diffrence is that the only place it truly has 3d touch is in the home button

Design, no question: s9+. Max: definitely the ugliest iphone ever. But also among the ugliest phones in the market that costs more than $500: protruding cameras, ugly notch, ugly metal frame does not match glass back. Ugly pink "gold" color.

My views are known....notch dealbreaker, no headphone jack dealbreaker, no expandable dealbreaker (where are you going to put big game apps on 64 gb of storage) and frankly if the S9+ is better the S10 is going to rule the roost. Having said that you will probably get the S9 + even cheaper now with all the leaks coming out about the S10 but it's still a great phone.Great video saki

Speed test scores used in video (geek bench4 ) ain't true. Just tested my s9+ (exynos 9810 version) and without cleaning recent apps or restarting phone I had a CPU score 3720 single core and 9174 multi core. Of course it's now on android 9.
