I'm still waiting for my ultra after pre ordering it and it should be with me around the 2nd of next month and getting the keyboard cover for free is amazing. Also got the 5g version as I use my tablet for work and having mobile functionality is key for me and my tab s6 has served me very well indeed and is still a fast and capable tablet even today. I've never been a person who uses laptops and the simpleness of a tablet is perfect for me. Downside is in the UK not many accessories available like simple covers and screen protectors. I ended up buying the amazon basics 45w USB c charger ready for the tablet coming and that also has 2 outputs to charge devices via fast charging and ultra charging via the USB c outp. People don't realise how massive the ultra is and when I seen one in the shop I was blown away how big and thin it is. Can't wait.

@@rebirth26 On their site (at least in the US) 5G is only available with the S8 and the S8+. I got the ultra 5G off ebay for a steal. It's a great tablet. I already had a data SIM so I popped it in and took a few tries with t-mobile, but now it runs well.

Really great video. Just got mine with the book cover keyboard. Amazing laptop replacement with a gorgeous screen meaning I can really enjoy watching content. Interested to hear if anyone has had technical issues with the book cover keyboard. Mine went a little hay wire after a few days when the firmware wouldn't update and the backlight kept flashing. Seemed to work but just lost it again as I write this 😢

Love your videos...thanks. Can the colour pallet be set using colours picked by the user rather than colours from wallpapers at all? Can icon packs be used to change the icons too? (there's no theme options on tablets like phones as far as I know)

Unfortunately, no. It is based off of the primary colors in the wallpaper. A work around could be to apply a wallpaper with the colors you’re wanting. Then, apply that palette, then switch back to the other wallpaper.

2D face recognition is actually really secure on some devices. I have an Honor V10 here and I use face unlock with it. Even though it doesn't have a 3D or IR face unlock, it will not unlock not matter how much I try to trick it. I have a 27in monitor I play videos of my face or open picture of my portrait and it never ever unlocks.... never. And that device came out since 2018, I think. The only downside is that it's a bit slow compared to recent devices' 2D face unlock. I think the only real downside to 2D face unlock is manufacturers skimping out on really refining it and securing it or unlocking in the dark as you need a substantial light source for it to work well (which this tab has in ample supply with that huge screen)

Just got my tab s8 ultra & keyboard cover today. Having used the tab s7+ for the past year or more, the new screen real estate is greatly appreciated. It's very tedious but can be done. The windows just need to be resized and dragged about the virtual keyboard or use the smaller "one-hand" version of the keyboard.

I would like to know if this tablet could replace an older laptop? I have a 2014 MacBook Air with an Intel I seven in my office that I use connected to a larger monitor just for general laptop use and like creative work. Most of what I use it for is working in Canva, checking emails, posting on social media, and editing pictures.

How exactly do you pair the Tab S8 Ultra and the S22 Ultra together and use the phone as a color palette in Notes coz I'm not getting the option of switch to mobile in the notes app on the tab? FYI, I had connected both the tab and the s22 ultra via Bluetooth. Thanks!

Hmm, it should just pop up in the corner like I showed. I did not connect the S22 Ultra via Bluetooth in advance so maybe erase that connection. Are you logged into your Samsung account on both devices?

FOUND IT! t’s called ‘Collaboration View,’ and Samsung says it allows the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to sync seamlessly. What does that mean, exactly? In other words, Collaboration View lets Galaxy S22 Ultra customers use the phone as a color palette and toolset in Samsung Notes while turning the large Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s screen into a canvas, free of any unnecessary UI elements. S22 Ultra and Tab S8 customers can use the same S Pen across both devices and, likewise, split the functionalities of the same app, i.e., Samsung Notes, across two screens in real-time. It’s a fantastic addition for anyone that may want to use the whole area of the gorgeous 14.6-inch AMOLED display as a digital canvas.
