Yeah, buying the Fold 3 changed how I think about my phone. After 2 visits to the repair center because the crease started cracking. Now I'm anxious on whether I should unfold the phone or just use the front panel to avoid cracking the crease lesser, and also avoid having my Fold out of my reach for a few days. It didn't made me this anxious with the old regular slab flagships so yeah, it really changed how I think about my phone.

Ha. Almost same experience. Had Apple for years. Then switched to Samsung for a few years and really loved One UI. Had a crazy moment and ordered 14 Pro Max. Hated it. Lasted a month just long enough to let my oldest use it. Got the Fold 5 and don't think I'll ever go back to a slab phone (which I loved!!!) I'm loving this thing. Have gotten so used to the outer display that my wife's 12 Pro Max feels weird and clunky now. 😂 I hope Sammy will make it just a tad wider next year and that will make it even more amazing. Get it!

Same experience. I got the S23 Ultra back in Feb, the Google Pixel Fold a few weeks ago, and the Motorola Razr. Returned the Pixel Fold after a few days. Just missed how easy and polished the software experience is on the Z Fold 5. That combined with the pen, the gorgeous display, the minimal bezels...Samsung deserves big props for this phone! The S23 Ultra is sitting in the door keeping the Razr company for now. Both are carrier financed, so I have to keep them for a bit.

I have no need for the pen capabilities but still nice to have if I ever need it. The bezels and how easy the Pixel Fold heats up was a turn off for me. I love that the Pixel Fold has a bigger outer screen lol. If not for those cons, I would have returned my Z Fold 5 for the Pixel Fold

Really depends what you are wanting in a phone. Do you want mobility or do you wany to do everything on one device? Also ask yourself how feasable it is to do everything on such a device. Had the fold 4 for a year and will be exchanging it with the S23 Ultra this black friday. The fold is an amazing phone cannot take that away. I thought I would be doing everything on it with the bigger screen but honestly I dont because the majority of intensive tasks I do need an actual tablet sized screen or a computer. The inner screen is great for some tasks but not all. The majority of the tume i use the outer screen which is absolutely tiny. Multitasking was a big selling point for folds but trying to multitask on is annoying because your screens get so small. Folds are bulky for me, especially with a case. Theyre uncomfortable to get in and out of my pockets. Carrying around rhe SPen is annoying. There are cases which house the SPen but it makes the entire phone so bulky. Before you make such a purchase make a list of what you are looking for in a phone. Both the folds and ultras are amazing but are intended for different uses.

After upgrading from the Pixel 6 2 weeks ago, there is definitely no going back to regular phones for me. Battery life has also been killer, wirelessly power shared to my Galaxy watch 4 yesterday and after fully charging the watch my fold was still at over 50%

I have watched like 20 reviews of this phone and literary no one shows web browsing on internat screen. I dont know why. Everyone only show multitasking on split screen, as if they were paid to only show good aspects of this phone.

I have no KZbin channel, and cannot show it to you. I just works fine. It has been one of my main use-cases since Fold3. Actually, it is a joy to browse on this "mini tablet". What exactly do you want to know? Maybe I can describe it? I think the reason why nobody demonstrates browsing is that it is nothing special.

Whenever a picture is used on the web page it becomes unnaturaly big but has large empty space on both sides, text is not surrounding pictures. As a result Fold 5 big screen shows not that much more text of web page than smaller screen.

Good websites make full use of the space in mobile versions, some need the change of orientation. But you can also cconfigure both browsers to alwys use the desktop versions (not only temporarily). The result would be what you are asking for.

Yes I can't go back to a regular phone once I've used this. Even though mine is a Fold 4. It's just so good. Everything. My screen time says 7 hr 14 minutes @ 5% left of battery life. And I kinda love that skinny outer screen I can do it all on this, I rarely open it up. And you get used to that crease. It's not that big of a deal. But don't you think they could have improved it by now from the 3, 4, to now 5. Your basically getting the same device just a new chip each year. Small camera upgrades but other than that they are the same phones.

It will NOT. My fold 3 last me only 11 months with very careful use. The problem is the inside screen is not made from glass just thin plastic and the screen protector will peel and before you know it, that peels will actually ruin the screen. When I sent it to Samsung they refuse to fix it bec. there is a small dent on the external frame which came from a small hit on a glass counter of a shop here, also in Germany (and that was on day 1 when the phone arrived, while the cover was late). I Have been using Samsung since Note 1 and upgrade every single year, and in addition I always got 2 or 3 other phones. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A NON DURABLE AND WEAK PHONE. EVER.

My oneplus 6t is on jts death bed and ive been torn between the fold 5 for that tablet-in-my-pocket multitasking (with the unfortunately thin front display) or Iphone 15 pro max for that uncompromisingly amazing pro level camera. If you complain about the picture quality of these phones, you're either a bad photographer, or you need a proper camera. They absolutely serve their purpose and more than enough quality for anything you need to do with a PICTURE TAKEN FROM A PHONE. Its not a camera, its a phone with a camera. Someone who knows what their doing can use any camera and take good pictures. Taking a picture of your dog is still a picture of your dog, at any quality. Sorry to tell you that.

Sent my fold 5 back loved the hingle the slimmer formfactor and lighter weight, but it didnt open as flat as my fold 4 crease was bigger on the fold 5 my fold 4 had a brigter screen which is weird as the fold 5 was advertised with a brighter screen, maybe I received a sub par device, even the guy in the samsung shop was shocked so its gone back, not a big enough uograde for me to part wirh that much money. But my fold 4 was repaired under warranty recently, before it went for repair it would open flat and thr screen wasnt as bright so maybe they are using better hardware now. I will wait for the fold 6.

Watching these videos makes me think that this is basically the first true step in the direction of "The only device you actually need" Which I love!! I'm contemplating getting one, I'm a software developer and I want to try and see how many devices this could possibly replace. VSCode should be pretty accessible since it has a web version. For some light coding it should do fine, maybe I could get like a portable screen as a "dock", need to research if there are ones that can charge it too but this all sounds extremely exciting

I don't code on it but reading documentation and reviewing code on it is awesome while also being very lowkey when folded, you never draw looks by using it normally like a flip does which i like.

This phone is a productivity beast. There is so many things you can do, it has the screen size, the processing power, the battery life, the software and to top it up, the camera is not bad at all, totally usable to keep some memory or to send important high def pictures.

I bought the Oneplus 12 over the Fold 5 because I can't find any KZbinr talk about how much it will cost to replace the inside screen. I don't have $300 lying around for insurance either. Don't want to buy the Fold 5 and later have to pay an arm and a leg just to fix the inside screen. My first Android phone is the Oneplus 12. I'm a iphone fan boy since the iphone 3. Fingers crossed.

I owned a fold 3 for two years. Software wise it's the same. But it's too heavy and too thick, the folded gap made it like a beta version. And I couldn't use the inner screen outdoors, it's not bright enough. It's finally perfect after switching to fold 5, made me feel didn't waste the almost $2k.
