Really bummed I did not volunteer this year or go. Looks like they had some great new features and booths. I did this for the past few years, managed lines for Sabat and the guy that did Master Chiefs voice and it's always fun. Knew some co workers that went and had a great time at the after hours VIPs etc. Glad they keep brining this back to Cbus, we have a great city here and much to do in that whole area of town. If you think that event is crazy, the Arnold Expo is insane, going to that in Feb-March.

Interesting! I always like hearing from those that have volunteered and have thought about doing it myself. Do you get to choose where you want to volunteer? Are there any benefits to volunteering besides free admission?

@alwaystraveling21 We do ask for specific people but sometimes they don't meet the requests. Yes they give you the free admission but they will also give you pizza, water to eat.

I’m a local creator and I can tell you I wouldn’t do this show unless they’d comp me a spot. Everyone I’ve known that sets up in artist alley eats their weekend. You can’t force people to buy the things,and I think you’re the average con goer that goes to these type of cons. Absolutely nothing wrong with that but it tells me that I saved another $400 on a spot. The booths range from $400 to almost $2k.

Yeah, I am the average goer that just goes to see a celeb or two and maybe buy a trinket to take home. I wondered how much they charged for a booth. This is particularly relevant for smaller artists who offer products such as stickers or printables. I wondered if they made any profit after paying the booth fee.
