Just received mine in the mail! Found your page to help me set mine up. Great video! Mine will be used on my balcony- hopefully will catch or deter the local theives in my complex :) I didn't even realize the camera came with so many cool features (speaker, siren, light) so I'm even happier now that I chose this one.

@@BigCVlogs set up was a breeze after watching your tutorial. We had a situation with a man creeping around @3am recently. He crept out from a side door amd then tried jiggling car door handles. My husband happened to be sitting in the dark, smoking a cigarette. He yelled out at him and he left. But then a neighbor had her storage unit broken into yesterday. I now have that whole area on camera :)

Why they charge for cloud service? Don't you have some space for free like for 2 weeks of motion footage? Can you use google drive instead? I mean what's the point of a security camera if the bugler can just take it with the footage?

Hi I'm wondering about the power cord as it seems bad weather could access it from where it is plugged in.... So wondering about damage. Also would I need to drill a hole through my wall (what size drill bit) for hole would I need please or could it go through my window frame when closed.. I tried with a normally USB lead and it seemed OK to do.

That's the tricky part. It's wireless in the sense of WiFi... Not battery powered wireless. I hate when companies name the products this way because people think it's a completely wireless product, which makes sense due to the name.

Nothing sadly. This camera has to be cabled. It doesn't have a battery.

Hi, the usb isn't long enough, what would I need to extend it?

You would just need a USB Extension cable. You should be able to find one on Amazon for $5-$15. I think this one was Micro USB, so the max extension would be 15ft. If you need longer than 15ft, I would suggest getting a thin drop cord to run from the power brick of the cable to reach your outlet.

I can't recall if the app had an off button, but yes unplugging it would work as well.

You completely omitted the part that interested me - setting up the app. I just returned another camera to Amazon because the app was demanding an intrusive amount of information including my credit card details. What did you have to supply to get the app working? Secondly it looks like the camera is a wifi access point you have to pair your phone to. Is that right?

Dear customer, 1. You only need to register an account with your email to get the APP working. Only when you need to use cloud storage will you need to provide a credit card. 2. Yes, the first time you need to use your mobile phone to connect WIFI and the camera, after the camera is turned on, it will automatically connect to WIFI next time.

@@donepearce I connected mine thru my phone and then went to work. The camera is currently connected to my home wifi and I am able to view the camera from the app (at work).

Yes. Provided your WiFi signal reaches that area and that you have power near the location. I thought I mentioned that but I might have forgotten.

I couldnt find Y4 as an option, so I chose the "Outdoor dome" style, NOT GETTING the options to control the cam.

Dear customer, you need to upgrade the APP first, then click "Add Device" and find "Galayou" on the top, and you will find the Y4 option.

I must say ... I didn't test outside of my house but that is crazy if you can't access this camera unless your on the same wifi. I wish I would of tested this now lol.
