Sometimes the shotgun is inconsistent and can miss a ton in close range feels like it has a delay before firing but with the rifle it's consistent and you know you can hit it

I believe the shotgun was nerfed recently. Through personal play I've also found the rifle more consistent even up close. If they add pushback with the shotgun I'd be happy

Great gameplay! As a Punisher main myself I learned a lot. As Punisher you need a good healer. I’ve had good healers and have survived flanks by Spidey, Witch, Thor, Iron Fist, Blank Panther, Captain America, Venom and Hulk. A good healer with the Punisher Shotty is a lifesaver. With that being said hate being on those teams where they don’t pay attention to those guys attacking are back line of support and healers. Quickest way to lose a match.

In no expert but it’s probably because it’s just not that good. You do gain some health and a lot of damage but the bullets become projectiles rather than his primary hitscan, which aren’t as consistent. You also become stationary which is obviously not good either

I will say though since this vid, I’ve experimented with it more and found some useful angles on certain maps. Stay tuned for more :)

People don't understand how strong is the Rocket and Punisher team up. Now they both got a slight buff, they are strong as hell and with Punisher's rifle and shotgun faster fire rate makes it VERY deadly. I really wish I can see more of that combo often. As a Punisher main, you play amazing btw. Loved the gameplay.

Been loving punisher myself. Shotgun is really effective up close against most tanks, but venom and hulk especially because you barely miss pellets. Turret is almost only useful on payload maps on defense. Can be useful on attack and capture point maps if their whole team is pushing around the same corner and you can just hold that line with bullets. But I am like you in the fact that its mainly rifle only. Bust out the shotgun when getting dove by venoms or iron fists. Magik you gotta run away she melts punisher, shotgun misses too many pellets on her and she can invincibility dash and easily miss pumps. Good vod, my biggest takeaway is to use my smokes better. Looks like you can kill very low hp targets with the smoke? Good tip right there. Ill be staying tuned for more punisher vods. Im still pisslow elo right now but steadily climbing when I get a solid team ( mainly half decent healers)

Have you tried using this trick where on medium range you use autorifle(long range >= 40m is terrible by the way not recommend using it at that range, 73% damage reduced), then when someone's too close, use smoke up(deal 45 dmg + knockback somewhat) and after that, immediately switch to shotgun to finish the fight? I rarely see youtubers use that trick to either escape fight or finishing the job

@JoshThompson25 I flex. I have at least 2 characters in each role that I can play and enjoy playing. I play them effectively enough to win, nothing special or off the world great, I am realistic. I do solo queue often. My point is when I know or identify players to be selfish (by this I mean those who come into game, knowing we have ample enough of one role, but still choose to pick same role), I am already prepared to chalk it up as a loss unless that team is ridiculously good, which is extremely rare. 90% of the time, I pick first, likely because people still fail to understand that SSDs are best to run games on, or maybe their connection is bad. Every time I run rank, I am the first or second to fully load in and prepped to select a role, while I have to wait for everyone else, which sometimes gets annoying. If I happen to come in to a game, and I pick last of after team comp is identified, then I'll glady pick roles that are missing. I'll be selfish just the same. It's still just a game and no sweat off my back if we lose. I don't get emotional about any of that. I move on.

@@Carknado I wish I could, his shotgun just sucks now sadly. It was really good in beta but got nerfed heavily. Feels super sluggish now and the range is awful. I find myself only using the rifle, especially in high elo because I have to keep my distance since punisher has a massive hit box and can die almost instantly.
