Something I forgot to mention in this video is that you actually CAN you use reverse gale kick while in the air, which applies fairly long knockdown stun. This is pretty useful to know, so I want to make sure you guys know about this as well. All the more reason to get reverse gale kick

You also should’ve mentioned that on block break it has a chance to still launch you into the air while also doing no damage at all, similar to legion kata crit when block broken. Ontop of that, you should’ve definitely also mentioned that if you turn on phantom step while you’re in the air, you can teleport aerial to your opponent if you somehow didn’t pickup reverse gale kick. Or if you got your rising wind blocked, and want to stay on the offense you can use this

I can't remember the last time I ever saw someone gb with rising wind and you're not supposed to rlly use it when someone's blocking anyway. also reverse gale kick is base now so there's no reason not to have it. good stuff tho, the more knowledge you have of the game the better.

@@Iamserious0715 the reverse gale kick talent has actually been removed since i made this video, and is now available by default for risng wind. So just press f during rising wind and you'll get the effect of reverse gale kick without needing the talent. pretty sweet that you don't need to get the talent anymore

something thats important to know is that after the first hit, the hit thatr actually grabs them can be blocked/parried and while it still does damage and pulls them up, it will cancel air combos if you used uppercut into it and also uppercut > rising wind is basically true if you get it off quick

I quitted using rising wind after this guy blocked it while he was in my combo and just used flashdraw strike to hit me midair. Thanks for this guide! I was using rising wind after an uppercut to throw my enemy off (rising and uppercut anims look the same) instead of using it for a combo, I will try to use it in comboes more instead of as a mixup

It’s because your parry cd resets even when you’re blocking. so I missed my parry and kept holding block until my parry was off cd again

I rerolled a mantra into rising wind recently so this helps as I never quite used it before, so far I've been enjoying it, my favorite use is sliding, using it then uppercutting, yes, I am whiffing it on purpose due to its extremely low endlag, it not cancelling sliding, and it's similar animations to some uppercuts, does it work? Not always, not until I get good with it.

reverse gale kick was removed, and now it's default for the mantra. so just press f during rising wind and you can use the talent for free

@@MiniTapz pretty much all you have to do is use a mantra, and click immediately right after during the windup. Pretty sure the timing is pretty fair as well, you just click right after activating the mantra and during the windup. Maybe I’ll make a guide tho cause you’re not the only person who’s asked

Thank you! from my experience though unless the timing is really hard, using radiant kick against rising wind is not true, doesn't work against me or other experienced gale users. Maybe people are just bad at lining up the radiant kick/other with rising winds endlag tho, so could be wrong.

@@SpidersDW The only reason flame is now good is because of the 3 new mantras it got. All of them do so much dmg. Flame Ballista does 10% or more dmg, relentless flame does 30% or more if you land the entire thing, and flame scourge does around 10% too.

ahh hmm it's sort of situational and preference based I'd say. Starkindred is for sure better in overworld imo for the insane mobility, but personally I think dawnwalker radiant kick is considerably better than the starkindred mantras when combined with gale, so I prefer dawnwalker. (i run corrupted kamui and potions tho so I have pretty good mobility without starkindred tho, so without those maybe I'd change my mind)
