I'm so happy Galeem and Dharkon look how they do, and have epic themes to boot. I love eldritch creatures and biologies and appearances that defy logic. Just like the Shin Megami Tensei demons with themes that are purely "Them", This is definitely Galeem. It's celestial, it's holy, it's divine and orderly, but it is not that kind. Dharkon is the opposite... What I find interesting is that because they couldn't (either because they're directly incapable of, or didn't want to...) put aside their differences to team up on the other characters, they lost. They even hit each other in the moment of weakness, not giving in. There's also the theory that they simply are trying to survive, and they don't necessarily make the light or darkness; it simply is a natural part of them and they can't help but bring it with them. It's also very fitting that you can ne blinded by the light, as well as the dark. There's a lot more going on here than just "kill the enemies" Love these guys so much.

EDIT: Robin Grimahood. I like your analysis on Galeem and Dharkon. Allow me to present you with my analysis/interpretation/theory (whatever you want to call it) of the two opposing beings. Galeem is a being a pure light, possibly created to keep Dharkon from consuming the world, or worlds, in darkness. But perhaps Galeem began to notice the darkness that was going on in each world and thus believes that all living beings that possess darkness in them must be destroyed. So Galeem took control of Master Hand, created copies of him, and then envelope the universe in light, destroying all living beings (except Kirby) and turning each soul into spirits that he control and use to possess the empty copies of fighters of Smash Bros. Dharkon is a being a pure darkness who wants to consume all worlds in its darkness, but could not because of Galeem intervention. Dharkon shuns the light and thus wants to destroy all livings beings that possess light in them. While Galeem was in control of the universe, Dharkon captured Crazy Hand and made copies of him so to fight off Galeem's copies of Master Hands. Dharkon waited until Galeem was weaken by the freed Smash Fighters before initiating its takeover, during which he took control of the spirits and the captured Smash Fighters. In the final fight, Galeem and Dharkon still desire control over the universe and to eradicate the other. Galeem battle against Dharkon and the Smash Fighters was a fight against the darkness itself. Dharkon battle against Galeem and the Smash Fighters was a fight against the light itself. In the end, the Smash Fighters and the freed spirits destroyed both Galeem and Dharkon, return the spirits back to where they came from, and restore the universe back to it's original self.

My favourite part in this is more of a subtle one, but it REALLY eccentuates the melody in such a fantastic way - the additional bass and/or deep horns at 0:14 for about 6 seconds of the piece, YES that *_very small and brief_* moment is my favourite part of this incredible theme, but i truly find it an incredibly poignant part that really adds to the theme.
