Not sure about the D40 but on other trucks with leaf springs I have seen conversions where people mount the diff and axle on top of the leaf springs, then use blocks to lift the axle higher and lower the rear that way.

they are not genuine. they're Thai and Malaysian made copies, but they're supposedly decent quality still. You can probably order them from overseas.
