I have the same gun, and have a Sandman K and Nomad L for it. I have only shot it a little bit with both cans. Can’t tell if I really need a piston. It doesn’t seem overgassed compared to the 7.62x39 variant.

I have the 13" 5.56 with a sig sr556qd can. It's so overpasses it's unreliable. Failures to strip the next round out of the mag or it'll slam the bullet forward into something (haven't really investigated where it hit I just cleared the malfunction) and pushes the projectile in, flush with the top of the case. I just installed the kns piston yesterday haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet. Way to gassy to shoot suppressed with the stock piston.

@@johnc5330 ok. I had a couple of ftf with the Nomad L. Didn’t even pick the round up. I have heard people buying the KNS and it wouldn’t run unsuppressed unless it was fully closed. It kinda made me thought that maybe I wouldn’t need one. I guess I’ll buy one.

Looking good! Is that a 13" Galil in .556 or 7.62? Been looking into picking up a 13" Galil in .556 myself.
