It's Time For A Classic, A Look At An Old RadioShack Talking Watch

I had a talking watch when I was in 1st grade at Alief Chancellor Elementary School here in Houston Texas. It was my 1st talking watch ever. I was 8 years old when I got it. My Orientation and mobility teacher: Mr Chuck Holcomb, bought it for me at the store. It had a rooster alarm too. The sound was in the key of B flat when I pushed the talk button to hear the time. I’m stuck with it all these years. This is my 15th year having this watch

This is certainly a blast from the past. I had one for 20 some years. This is something I can understand unlike all this modern stuff. Sometimes I don’t understand what you’re talking about. When you’re going over features.

Now that watch is truely a classic, I remember hearing one for the first time when I was 13 years old in 1994. Man, I even had the keyring clock with the same voice chip.

I’m not sure how many I had, but it was a lot. I was so excited when I got a talking watch that was different. These RadioShack’s got boring after a while, I was starting to wonder if any other talking watches existed. 😂

i had a shinjia talking watch which was the four button watch and it was so simple like yours . And also the Ting sound was just the same

I had lots of these. Now, I just use my phone as my watch. Maybe some day money permitting I might look into an Apple Watch, but am happy with what I have now.

I really like the concept of a simple, talking watch instead of a complicated Apple Watch or what not. Just like other people have Rolexes or other fancy watches we can ice out our atomic talking watches lol.

So from the limited research I have done, I believe there’s a good chance that Ultmost manufactured these for RadioShack. I have a few more clocks and watches I can review, and will definitely add those to the list. Stay tuned.

Ok, I’m getting one soon from ebay in the uk, but needs a new battery, when i get it working, i will do a video review, stay tuned on my channel, the watch I’m getting might sound like you’re one, until i receive it, i will find out, but definitely the cockerel alarm brings back memories, i had one when i was a kid, then I found one on ebay the ultmost talking watch in april 2022, first when i received it, strap was fine it was a plastic strap, mine was in b flat, then then 2 weeks later mid April, strap was broken, then may 2022, i ordered the same watch from ultmost, this time the pitch was in b, but talking button was broken, i activated the hourly chime with the screwdriver, then august 2022, i ordered the same watch, that time, all the buttons are working, hour, minute and talk button, first, strap was fine, then mid august, plastic strap broken, and the pitch was the same in b, but definitely, the classic cockerel alarm, yes, yes, yes, love it, fortunately i don’t have it on me, good news i’m getting one soon to review, next week i will be getting one from radio shackk talking watch in the uk, but again needs a new battery, but might sound like your watch, but we will see when i do win the bid on ebay in the uk, i would like to have one like you got, especially i love the voice, it’s a female voice, but i love it, especially the bongs when you press talk, before it says the time, thought I might shate you a story about my childhood, but when i do a review of this timepiece, stay tuned on my channel, and leave me a comment, if there’s any requests that you would like me to do, please let me know i mean ebay uk, when i get the radio shack talking watch, thought i share you a story gallagher123123

I had a version of this watch with the ultmost branding and it had a dial instead of the mode button, only difference is that it doesn't have an hourly report

The catalog number for this radio shack watch on yours is 63-5142a, that’s what i am getting on ebay in the uk this week, they replaced batteries, but when did the video the pitch was bending, not sure what’s going on, but i think it’s just the age

I’ve had a few of these in my time too. I remember having one that was really high-pitched. And I’ll tell you a funny story. But when I was at school since we had these all over the place I accidentally took my friend instead of mine. Because mine looked just like hers. And we were actually doing something in the dorm so we had to take them off. And I remember I accidentally took hers instead of mine. But she didn’t care. She let me keep it.

Because it reminds me of a doorbell I have heard before. I love how relaxing it is. Also we should talk again sometime. We haven’t talked in so long. I’ve gotten so much new technology for Christmas that I would love to show it to you.

I had this watch back in the day. Change the batteries very often… when the batteries run low, the whole watch crashes and dies.

I used to have one of them, back in april2022, my watch i had from ebay uk was a ultmost talking watch, then the strap broke in mid April, my watch pitch was in b flat, then i had it in may2022, mine was in b, then in august2022, in b, but with the same plastic straps, but i like the cockerel alarm, brings back so many memories, especially the voice, it’s a female voice, but i love it, they used to have one with 24hr format, thought i share you that story, i’m getting one from ebay in the uk soon, but needs a new battery, but it might sound like your one, but when i get it replaced, i will do a video review, stay tuned on my channel, if there’s any requests, please let me know

Also, RadioShack did not make those. I had one just like that back in the 1990s. They had all kinds of different company names on them. They were kind of a novelty at first.
