Gallantmon VS MegaGargomon!! | Digimon Card Game: Biggest Dreamer Cup (FINALS 1)

In my playtesting, I found it was particularly tricky for Green to play because Gallantmon shrugs off MegaGargo's pressure with a 14k Blitz or 13k double-kill into a free Takato and Guilmon. And with the threat of Crimson Mode looming, you can't set up two of the same MegaGargos. If Henry managed to hit the field early though, there would have been some insane control in the early-game which might have changed the outcome. The score now stands at Takato - 1, Henry - 0. If Henry manages to win the next match against Impmon, then there's a possibility that this three-way will conclude as a tie if Impmon can also pull off a win against Takato. But if Impmon wins the next match, we will see Gallantmon vs Beelzemon in the true final battle. Still though, I think we should all applaud Henry for his efforts in this match.

This is maybe a niche request, but can you refrain from putting the match result in your pinned comment in the future? Or at least put the result a few lines/sentences into the comment. I just started the video, and didn’t open the comments, but I’m on mobile, so the result is right below the video the whole time. Not experience-ruining, just a light spoiler that’s tough to avoid. Love your vids, and glad you’re back to making match videos!

I agree from a competitive standpoint! But from a just enjoying the game and each deck's mechanics standpoint, Hybrids have a negative influence by increasing the tempo of the game. So when I deckbuild for these videos, I can get quite conflicted... (you'll see some decks with Hybrids, some without) Well, there are many Digitubers out there who mainly showcase competitive recipes/matches, so I like to provide a different perspective haha

I love my Gargomon Deck. And yes I also have 2 Arbormons in it. Willis and Calumon are a beast in this deck: I once had 3 memory and no mons. Enemy would have had me in: I play one terriermon for 3. Use 2 willis to digivolve to gargomon for free. 1 wilis and gargomons effect to get free 2 cost Rapidmon. And then bring my enemy to 5 memory but Megagargomon. was able to suspend all three (could have done 4) enemy digimon who wont be unsuspending next turn. Saving me.

Love these videos! I’ve been sleeping on the game the past couple of months so I’m a bit out of the loop. I see a lot of games and deck profiles with no blockers anymore, is that a new thing? Or are they still being used lol

Deck power has increased to the point that blockers aren't as favourable to run anymore.

2 minutes in: 2 mistakes on Henry side: He played the 2 cost digivolve Gargomon its effect allows the reduction by 1 if it digivolves into a rapid mon. He paid full cost (takato would have been left at 1. Second mistake: Mega Gargomons digivolutioneffect still triggers. Even if an opponents Digimon is already suspended you can still aim it as "suspend and it doesnt unsuspend" effrect. Making it not possible to attack next turn. (The inheritable power ups or Gummymons draw effect wont trigger though.)

was a mistake not to go for the security checks on henrys side. megagargomon could have checked 4 security for free and then swung for game with kabuterimon

Yea but if i was on henry side i would think that takato might have crimson form so to stop him from evolving the rested gallantmon tho i could be wrong as where you was referring to at in the video

You guys are actually watching a refilmed version of this match. Cos at first, I attacked Sec with MegaGargo like Donald suggested, and Henry died even faster and harder - it wasn't even a close match. (Note: EX2 Gallant on Blitz can take MegaGargo out, and we know Takato has searched Crimson Mode early in the game.) In my editing, I realised that wasn't the best move in this matchup so I tried playing safe and not attacking - and this is the match we ended up with

Not true my friend. Only the Eng dub uses Biomerge Evolution text for the final forms. If you check Japanese clips of Tamers, the evolution scenes for the final forms is preceded by the Matrix Evolution text (except the first time Gallantmon appears I think).
