I have my own exhaust hose repair coming up. I bought the slang40 hose in hopes it would be easier to manuever. It's supposed to be more flexible. Good luck on the replacement!

I looked at the path and I don't think it will be to hard I'm going to run a chaser and add pull grease that I would use to pull feeders through conduit at work

How did the Vetus Slang 40 hose installation go? It is supposed to be easier to maneuver through the tight spaces than the Shields 200 wet exhaust hose. I have a Cat 30 and my exhaust hose is badly cracked. If you are a cat 30 owner, how many FEET of hose did you need to buy?

@@Sailing.Artemis It is the M25, Kubota D850. I need to do a tear down because it is seized hard. I suspect a bent rod as I found a cylinder full of oil when I pulled the glow plugs. I hope that if it is a bent rod the block is not damaged. If necessary I will drive over to an engine seller and pick up a rebuild and replace the plugs with brass plugs. At least these are still available, either the D850 or the D950.

I just started this project tonight. I didn’t get the countertop out as I was searching for screws and didn’t find them all. Gotta look in the pantry for those last 2. My engine is the M5411 so I only have a puny 2 cylinder.

@@Sailing.Artemis No, I bought the boat about 8 months ago, good bones, but lots of projects. The engine is actually in much better shape than yours, so only maintenance for now. I have been recovering from a previous owners very bad idea to stain teak and all the wood. A friend of the previous owner came in and stained all the teak (not varnished). Worst still, it was a dark stain and the individual just "painted" the stain while everything was still in place. The stain ran down and puddled on the fiberglass. When I removed the old clocks from the wall I found they didn't even bother to remove the clocks when they stained the walls. I have had to remove everything, sand it and varnish the thin teak. With your guidance, I removed the counter and could clearly see three different layers, where the stain got, where the factor treated the wood, and where the factor DID NOT treat to plywood. This was the case in the unseen areas behind the stove and under the counter. I had a leak so I dried out the wood sanded it down and varnished everything to provide some moister protection.

I also recovered the vinyl fake wood countertops with thick vinyl fake white marble. Looks better and lights up a already too dark interior

It took forever with a stubby screwdriver to get those inside cabinet screws out. Mine wasn't fun. And that back footpump hose was rough.

It is funny. MY Catalina 30 had the flapper valve of the raw water anti-siphon loop removed, and connected via a hose to....(drum roll please...) the galley FAUCET !!
