Hi, my name is Amanda, and Adaptability is my number one theme. When I first found out I had Adaptability as my top strength, the character Mystique from X-men came to my mind. came to realise that I respond to change really well -- perhaps even better and faster than most of my other friends! As someone who's really adaptable, I welcome change. Change excites me. It gives me the thrill of beginning a new adventure. I get bored when things stay the same for too long, so because of my Adaptability, I tend to work the best in spontaneous moments. When unexpected situations occur, having to make quick decisions is not difficult nor uncommon for me to handle. When working in a team, people can count on me to make the swift decisions in a situation of sudden change. Should things not go according to plan, I'm able to bounce back and respond accordingly to how the situation calls for it. Being adaptable to different situations allows me and my team to move on from the obstacles so as not to waste time and resources. With Adaptability, I tend not to plan too far ahead because I believe that things can change at any moment. So while I may have a rough idea of how I want my day to go, I'm always really ready to change the activities around within the day. One time, before I was about to present a song at a performance, the host told the audience that I had something to say to them when I actually had nothing prepared at all. This threw me off guard quite a bit. Thankfully, with my Adaptability, I was able to bounce back and come up with a quick welcome speech. In the end, it went with the flow quite well. That was my Adaptability strength playing out. With Adaptability, I feel I'm sometimes prone to procrastinating and I leave things to the last minute. Now this may not be ideal in a team setting because my team mates could be waiting for me to finish up my part of the project before we can all move on as a team. Though I've never missed a deadline, I've learned that leaving things to the eleventh hour is probably not the best idea, neither is it very helpful for my teammates. Hence, it is something that I hope to improve on. Overall, while many may be caught off-guard in the event of sudden change, you can count on me to rise up and deliver when it matters.
