Killer video! I just moved to Galveston from Huntington Beach. I fished artificials for Calico Bass in CA, still trying to figure out what lures work best here in Galveston.

Joseph Whitmore to be honest, these down south lures are all you need. I use 4 colors . Chicken of the c, plumb/chartreuse, dirty tequila and Texas roach. To be honest all their colors work. Idk what it is but the fish love it. Probably because the lures have a lot of action in their tail and the plastics have a scent to it.

Joseph Whitmore, here in the South Tx beaches, its obvious that our waters are not as clear at most times. What works best, as far as colors, are the Chartreuse, White, Pumpkin w/ Chartreuse mix, Red and Pink colors. For them flounders, the Gulp Chartreuse Curly Tails via Tandem Rig, Mirro Lures plastics, Norton plastics, Silver Spoons, Popping corks with Live shrimp, Carolina rigs with live bait particularly for them flounders...live bait such as Finger mullet, Live Shrimp, Live Mud minnows and Small Croakers. These are your basic and good regimen to have around there. Good luck and be safe!

nice video good info on the lure you were using and I see how you were retrieving it. is it better to use waders or just go in short and shirt.

I have a couple 2 days here in galveston/Kemah. Any suggestions on where to wade some some redfish or trout?
@kitbui28247 жыл бұрын
great video. you use any pro cure with DSL?
@justinpalmer4237 жыл бұрын
Kiet Bui no I haven't tried that stuff before. The fish already inhale the lure without pro cure lol.

What set up you use bro as far as rod and line on reel mono/floro? trying to get into salt water fishing thanks man good video
@justinpalmer4237 жыл бұрын
In this video I'm using an all star rod moderate light 7' paired with a lews bb1 inshore is1sh with 12 lb mono. I sometimes like to switch the reel to a 13 fishing concept A because it's extremely light and I can throw that thing all day without getting tired. For live croaker "when I do use it which is rarely" I like to use an 13 fishing OMEN green rod medium 7' 2" with the lews bb1 since the lews can hold more line than the concept a.
